  I will be contacting patient relations regarding Dr Mitchell Garey, & if nothing is taken care of I will proceed to go higher. My husband was sent home, & when I said patients have rights, & I would like him admitted, he says if you stay I will keep him back here doing unnecessary tests, & several times he was saying it's not up for me to decide, he bullied my husband into going home who could barely comprehend, or respond correctly, who was shaking with pain, he wasn't given anything that would bring his pain level down. Once we got home, my husband was so weak he couldn't get up, was stuck on his knees 4-6 hrs. I took him back to ER where thankfully I had a wonderful dr & nurse staff that did their job. He had a epidural spinal abscess, plus he was septic. If you're taking your loved one & you get this dr, immediately ask if there is another physician if they don't give you someone else, LEAVE & go to the kettering main campus. There's so much more that happened, & once I make a formal complaint I will update this review.

  4-2-26: Nurses in the Emergency department are terrible..Doctors were nice, but you could tell my nurse needed a lot more training, she was very inattentive to my needs, and care and was overall just very unprofessional. I was not updated about my care, or the plans. On top of the nurses being unprofessional , I was placed in a room with NOTHING but a bed in it. I was not there for a psychology issue or problem (never had these issues).. why would you want to make someone feel that way? It was cold and scary. I was astonished when they said this was my room. Very disappointed in the care given here. I am not sure what happened to this Emergency department, but I will be going somewhere outside of my hometown from now on. Miami Valley in dayton is the place to go. Soin is not.

  This was a joke. They acted like they cared that I had a pretty severe injury. Then ignored me for hours, refused pain control. I begged for a nurse, got a text saying I was being discharged. No one gave me test result. Big fat joke

  If I could give 0 stars, I would. If you look online on social media the ER NURSES at SOIN are more worried about having photo shoots in the patients rooms, and taking selfies and posting social media, than worrying about their patients. On top of that, From the horrible management in the E.R, horrible Charge Nurses ( especially the night shift), rude and careless nurses, this place is NOT the place to go. Save yourself or your loved one’s time, and care. Go somewhere else. It’s worth the time and drive. You will not find any compassion from the staff at SOIN E.R. I don’t think I would never send a family member or friend here. It’s dangerous, and they simply do not care about you. Take my advice and go somewhere else, so you don’t have the horrible experience I did here. Please.

  I thought I was dying when I came via ambulance into the Soin ER. My blood pressure never dropped, the machine never stopped beeping, I was given a potassium script, and promptly discharged without help. There seems to be an ER doctor working here who seems to be regularly giving out potassium scripts and discharging patients without actually helping them. This is not okay.
