If I could give 0 stars, I would. From the horrible management in the E.R, horrible Charge Nurses ( especially the night shift), rude and careless nurses, this place is NOT the place to go. Save yourself or your loved one’s time, and care. Go somewhere else. It’s worth the time and drive. You will not find any compassion from the staff at SOIN E.R. I don’t think I would even send my dead snake here. It’s dangerous, and they simply do not care about you. Take my advice and go somewhere else, so you don’t have the horrible experience I did here. Please.

I thought I was dying when I came via ambulance into the Soin ER. My blood pressure never dropped, the machine never stopped beeping, I was given a potassium script, and promptly discharged without help. There seems to be an ER doctor working here who seems to be regularly giving out potassium scripts and discharging patients without actually helping them. This is not okay.

Been here quite a few times..me and my family. Kettering is the only health care institution I trust to keep me together. I've gotten the pleasure of being cared for by many many very nice people within the hospital and the ER. I never met anyone here that wasn't absolutely compassionate and empathetic. Highly recommend.

I was being transported home via ambulance from another hospital, I passed out and I was brought here. They did basic labs, which were normal, but I told them my heart rate kept spiking up and I’m passing out. I was ignored. I passed out 3 times in my room and my alarm was going off from my heart rate being in 140’s. Well I was discharged and had to wait on an ambulance to get me to take me home (since I can’t walk and unable to sit up due to a neurological condition!). During my visit I was polite to nurses, doctors and all staff, never had any issues. I however kept bringing up how unsafe I felt to be leaving because my heart rate was still going up and I was fainting. I was ignored. I waited 12+ hours in my room having multiple episodes while waiting for transport it was snowing bad so had a long wait. Anyways when they get their hospital security comes in my room tells me if I do not leave with transport they are wheeling me outside???? I’m disabled and unable to sit or walk?? It’s snowing a blizzard outside and it’s cold. I don’t have any clothes on really. Why would you do this to a disabled person??? Luckily the whole conversions between security, staff and transport was witnessed and heard from a very higher up person on my phone. The conversation was recorded on a recorded line. I didn’t refuse to leave the hospital, was never violent so why would I get threatened like this? I just kept repeatedly telling them I was passing out! Well Kettering ambulance got me on their stretcher and we get out to the ambulance and my vitals are exactly what I’ve been telling the doctors and nurses what there were my HR was 180 and blood pressure was over 200. The EMT’s said we can’t not transport you home you’re unstable so I was took back in and the charge nurse at the time was trying to refuse the medics for me to bring me back in they had to talk privately. I was took back to my room, then told I was admitted, then I heard multiple staff talking about me, really horrible stuff. About an hour later the doctor comes back in and tells me I’m not being admitted now that I’m discharged and now have to wait for transport to get me again?? They gave me a beta blocker medicine and got my HR down enough to get me stable enough for transport to take me up, now I’m home worse and still having problems. I will be reaching another person higher up about trying to throw me outside in the cold and being disabled. I wasn’t disrespectful to staff or refusing to leave there was absolutely no reason to treat me that way. I live 3 hours away so even if I chose not to go with the ambulance crew and wanted a family member to get me I would have been outside in that weather for over 3 hours. So inhumane. Will def be reporting this incident, it was all recorded on a recorded line so they can also see I never caused issues or problems!

It is really bad when the nurse practitioner and the supervising doctor walk in to the ER room and tell the patient they have NO CLUE what to do. These two do not belong in healthcare PERIOD! They stand at the door, they NEVER did an exam at all, didn't come near me. Delaying treatment and admitting; multiple times I requested to be transferred to Premier because they do have a clue. Kettering ER staff refused, which is illegal! I went in for a condition other ER providers have done with confidence of what they needed to do. I have to return for this condition because their other doctors do not know how to find the underlying cause. They are pushing meds and procedures instead. Not sure why Kettering Health employs so many doctors, PA's and NP's who have NO CLUE what they are doing. Soin's ER is a joke, they allow intoxicated patients the ability to walk into mine and other patient rooms causing problems. Asked to speak with the charge nurse multiple times, never showed up. They refused my right to speak with a patient advocate, which is ILLEGAL! Arrive with chest pain and other things, the doctors continuously remove the pain part from their notes, which is ILLEGAL. Tip, read those notes and have them amended thru medical records thru MyChart, if the doctors refuse to do something or are doing other bad things, skip the hospital level and report them to the State of Ohio Medical board and Board of Nursing for the Nurse Practitioners. Their own staff abandon the patients... good luck with that!! Soin, do not ask me to send you an email or fill out a form, instead read the review and fix your problems before you are sued.
