Went to Macy's yesterday to return frames that were ordered online. The kind woman at customer service informed that they had to be returned at Lenscrafters on the 2nd floor. When I went to that department, the woman behind the register stated that they aren't Macy's and I'd have to make return downstairs. Macy's in-store customer service kindly processed my return, although it should have been done by Lenscrafters.

After spending over an hour picking out glasses the representative tells me I need a prescription from my daughter doctor in order to get prescribed glasses if they had told me that when initially ask I would have not spend an hour looking at glasses with my daughter

My appointment was at 12:40 and I am still sitting here more than an hour after and the doctor is having a conversation with a patient. I am never coming here again. I've experienced the worst service at this place. The Dr said I can get a lower prescription of my contact lenses so I contacted the place several times to get it sent over to me. Several times no response. Finally I reach them Surprise! They can't email contact lens prescriptions, but they can eye glasses. They can fax though. What??? I never had an issue like that. They are perfectly allowed to do it by law. Very unresponsive and difficult. Will never go back there again

My journey finding a competent, friendly, and professional eyecare provider went beyond customer service which really began on 9/22/25 with a call to my eyecare insurer Davis Vision via WellCare by Fidelis. After speaking at length to a wonderful customer service representative to find a provider who took my insurance this is what transpired: That said, my journey continued on 9/23/25 where I had discovered Lens Crafters eyecare provider located in Yonkers in the Ridge Hill Mall at Macy's. When I finally called that venue I had a wonderful customer service experience and during our conversation Courtney sadly expressed that unfortunately they were out of network. But, this is where Courtney was determined to research other ways to see how to accommodate me and my insurance. To say she went above and beyond is putting it lightly! At this moment, I was immediately taken aback by her efforts, determination and perseverance to research other ways on how to accommodate my eyecare insurance needs but ultimately fell short of her endeavor. With all that, she still offered some discounts as an incentive to help me make my decisions. And after all that, l still made an appointment with her just because I felt compelled to do so just based on the amazing customer service she provided me and I still wanted to keep my appointment just to see what I may find there at her Lens Crafters store to fulfill my eyecare needs. Finally, Ms. Courtney expressed her gratitude and also said "if I found an eyecare provider that will take my full eyecare insurance then by all means please take that opportunity!" She totally understood my position with no hard feelings! That's the advice of a true dedicated and compassionate service agent who just so happens to be the stores manager at that particular Lens Crafters location! On a scale of 1-10 Ms. Courtney showed true compassion and professionalism throughout my entire time speaking with her and with that said, Courtney gets a 10+++ from me! Courtney is the epitome of what an effective customer service agent and manager is. In addition, her level of CARE equaled that of a 5 Star Hotel Concierge and how to execute such service. All customer service agents in every industry sector should take HEED! Courtney, ROCKS!!! Thank you, Courtney for all you do! Kind regards, Alexander D. Morrison An Extremely Happy Future Customer!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters at Macy's

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
