- NNNCFM80May 26, 20235.0I've been putting off my first Audiologist evaluation for years. Finally having one was a great experience. The evaluation shows a low level of hearing loss. Just enough to be annoying to my family and friends, and to me (coupled with my lifelong tinnitus). Dr. Genna was great. She is very friendly & personable. The evaluation is nothing to worry about. The hearing test is the same as you might get at an annual physical exam provided by an employer. It only took 1 & 1/2 hours, because I yapped a lot & had questions. They even said my insurance covers the exam and hearing aids, although I do have to await insurance reimbursement. Next step-see how we like the hearing aids. Hopefully, I can keep the TV volume lower & the captions off so the family doesn't give me a hard time anymore 😅.
