  Did you know anyone these days can open a company that cares for seniors. Sad as this can be the homes that are private pay do not have the resources needed to care for the individual. Even if you are well off they don’t cover equipment or mefical supplies As a daughter a spent down is way better then paying a company with some reliable individuals caring for our parents. Can only afford limited hours because private oay is expensive got a spend down paid 400 a month and got 30 hours. So think twice before private pay takes over your sabings

  I have recently had the pleasure of employing a companion for my 100-year-old mother from Home Instead Westchester. She did not want to go into assisted living facility. She is still very independent, loves her home and wants to remain in it. She can be very stubborn, and even frustrating, to deal with at times. Additionally, she also did not want assistance in her home. This made caring for her challenging for me and my siblings. Life is very busy and as devoted as we are to her, it can be very hard to visit and care for her properly every day. Yet we needed her to be safe and healthy while respecting her independence. Then, upon a recommendation, we reached out to Home Instead Westchester. We were looking for companionship, help in the home and most importantly - to make sure she was eating properly. The team at Home Instead Westchester were very accommodating and made sure we had a good match for the requirements we needed of the caregiver. They spent the time to understand her situation, and ours as her family, to provide a good fit for my mother. The companion we now have in place is lovely. She is very soft spoken and has a nice manner with Mom. My mother enjoys the aide being there (which I wasn’t sure could be possible). Mom is now eating more, socializing with the companion, happier and we have the peace of mind knowing she is well cared for. I would highly recommend Home Instead Westchester. Elders need the familiarity of their surroundings when they have cognitive and memory issues. Home Instead allows my mom to be happy and safe in her home. This is a true blessing for her as well as her family that loves her.

  Brittiany and Melba are wonderful aids and home instead has been a great service to my elderly father and his wife. I highly recommend them.

  Home Instead Westchester County is truly amazing with the phenomenal aide services they provide to families with members with degenerative illnesses like dementia! Special shout out to Brian Trainor and his brilliant staff at Home Instead Westchester, Angela Halstead who arranged for our beyond amazing aide and her scheduling and Maritza Cordero who provided us with helpful resources and advice throughout, as they did their utmost to make sure our family was in the best caregiving hands! We absolutely loved their aide for our dementia diagnosed family member as she took care of him attentively and responsibly, and she became part of our family! Bravo Home Instead Westchester!
