I was first introduced to Wappingers Falls Dental Arts through a close friend who has been a patient there. After hearing her speak so highly of the practice — not just casually recommend it, but genuinely rave about it. I decided to schedule an appointment myself. I’m so glad I did.
It’s rare to find a dental office that lives up to that kind of praise, but from my very first visit, I understood exactly what she meant.
The practice is home to two highly skilled specialists in Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics who are truly exceptional at what they do. Their level of expertise is clear, but what impressed me even more was their integrity. At no point did I feel pressured into unnecessary procedures or overwhelm me with upsells. Instead, they took the time to thoroughly explain all of my options, answer every question, and ensure I felt informed and comfortable making decisions about my own care.
In a time when healthcare can sometimes feel transactional, Wappingers Falls Dental Arts feels different. The focus is clearly on patient outcomes, not profit. Rather than pushing unnecessary procedures or overwhelming patients with upsells, the doctors take the time to thoroughly inform patients of all available options, empowering them to make the best decisions for their own health and well-being. They are professional and deeply committed to delivering high-quality care.
I’m grateful my friend encouraged me to go, and I can confidently say I’ve found my dental home. If you’re looking for a practice that truly puts patients first, I highly recommend Wappingers Falls Dental Arts.

I’ve never been treated so well within a dental practice, nor have I ever been made to feel like my feelings truly mattered. Not everyone loves the dentist lol, but when you have a staff and dentists that truly care about your oral health and well being it makes it that much easier to return back. Dr. Alexander and Karen are truly awesome, and so we’re Ricky and Kayla. Thank you to the entire staff for keeping my nerves and anxiety at bay. I’ll see you in April!

It has to be said that informed consent is extremely important. I went here for issues with my tooth, and I was told I had to have a root canal and a crown, I found a doctor who performed the root canal and then came back here for a crown. While prepping me for a crown, one of the dentists shaved my gums without asking me first, telling me it would help with the “fit”. I got a permanent crown in place, a few weeks later. I recently fell, and hit my new crown, but no worries. I’m an adult and I went back in because my teeth became very sensitive and felt as if they were breaking. I was told to wait and see by another dentist, who I really liked and not the same dentist who put in my crown. Then, I felt immense pain and went to a dentist close to me who told me the part where my gums were shaved were severely irritated and I should not have had a gum shave so close to installing a crown on a tooth that was already much too short. The impact on my gums caused further trauma to already traumatized gum line.
Second to that, my husband is a very kind person who trusts that providers look out for him. He had a wisdom tooth extraction booked months in advance, he was told it would be 120.00. on the day of the appointment one of the front desk administrators went up to him (while he was sitting in the chair) and had him sign a new invoice, saying that she would “check his insurance” to see if anything was covered. This invoice was for 700.00+ He texted me and I asked him to ask them to check if his insurance covered this procedure first. The admin was very annoyed, and told my husband “they already opened it” referring to the equipment for the procedure and that she “couldn’t check it”, and told the dentist “he doesn’t want to do it anymore” in an annoyed tone.
Informed consent, you don’t wait until a patient is sitting on a chair before a procedure to let them know the cost. This was booked 3 months in advance. The same admin tried that with me during my crown appointment and I told her to check and if it costs anything send me a bill. Turns out, my insurance did cover everything. Reimbursements for dental take forever.
Every time my husband went he was also made to wait 30 minutes longer than his scheduled time.
The assistances and hygienists are really kind. Even the dentists are kind, but there is obviously rampant mismanagement and lack of organized behavior. I implore them to do better for their staff and their patients.
