  I went to Dr Amar Bhandari for a consultation for a dental implant. He is patient and answered all of my questions. I have a lot of anxiety about having dental work done, but he put me right at ease. The staff is pleasant and helpful in person and on the phone. After making sure the bone healed around the implant properly, I have been given the approval to have the crown put on the implant. He is an amazing surgeon, both kind and professional. He explained every step of the way! I would definitely recommend him - especially if you tend to be nervous about dental work like me!

  I had a past complicated traumatic extraction by another dentist involving the buccal plate seperating with tooth and bone removal with a surgical flap in the maxilla and A previous biopsy showed predominantly chronic inflammatory infiltrate and an MRI showing edema and enhancement in upper maxilla. A year later, I still have abnormal persistent jaw pain, facial swelling, palate pressure, and a weird taste in my mouth. During the in-person consult, the surgeon was polite and courteous, but he blamed my ongoing symptoms on COVID. Other providers and specalists found my symptoms concerning and recommended I see an oral surgeon. Unsatisfied with that answer, I called back, and the surgeon said he couldn’t help me, saw nothing on the scan, and refused to do any further testing to definitively rule things out or in and recommended I go to rochester. He ended the call abruptly. If you have complex post-extraction complications or chronic facial/jaw pain, this office may not provide thorough follow-up or evaluation. I recommend seeking a different specialist who will take your concerns seriously and provide thorough care.
