  Urgently needed a record of a specific prescription I had received here three months ago while I was there for a National Guard activation so that I could get that same medicine again for an acute condition that sprung up while I was on a trip to California. I don’t live in Syracuse—I live in NYC. And I get that they must abide by HIPAA laws but I was in a lot of pain and just needed some sort of work around because I couldn’t even remember the name of the medication and it was very specialized AND it happened to be a weekend so I wouldn’t be able to get to a specialist here in CA for days. And they wouldn’t help at all. No attempt whatsoever to help me in any way. Just a simple “Sorry you have to be here in person or be a medical doctor,” even knowing that I have no reason to ever be in Syracuse again and was in acute pain on a trip across the country and needed help.
