Club Pilates Staten Island is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
It was my first day with a free class and I can assure you that it was great! Ignore these terrible comments from sad people who can’t find what to say! The place is amazing and the people too! I feel bad because I forgot the name of the girl who attended me but she was so sweet that I felt welcome here.

I called Club Pilates and spoke with Nayelis — she was so sweet and incredibly helpful! She took the time to answer all my questions and made everything super easy to understand. It’s always nice to talk to someone who’s both friendly and informative. Great customer service experience!

Customer service has incredibly declined. I was a consistent goer of this studio for about a year then needed to put a 3 month hold on my account. When the 3 months was up, I did not receive any email warning me my account was about to be unfrozen therefore I was charged $350. Once I realized (a few weeks in), I called the studio and asked if At minimum they could downgrade the package to the four class package and refund me the difference And they absolutely refused. Meanwhile, downgrading your package out of a freeze was always an option. I have since moved so I basically spent $350 for zero classes. I asked to speak to a manager to see if there was anything they can do to compensate in hopes to maintain a good customer relationship, and the woman on the phone would not even consider it or connect me to a manager what so ever.

I came to this studio when it first opened, and while I was personally treated fine, I noticed that the two male instructors were extremely rude to people in class who didn’t know exactly what to do. I attended two classes where this happened, which ultimately made me want to cancel my membership. I felt the environment wasn’t a great place to work out in, and I didn’t look forward to taking classes—which were already difficult to book. Fast forward to now: I’m a member on ClassPass, and this Club Pilates location is the only one available on the app, so I figured I would give it another try since it’s been a few years since my last experience. I took classes with Hannah and Michael, and they were amazing—both so kind and made classes enjoyable, comfortable, and overall a great experience. I booked a Cardio Sculpt class today through ClassPass. I’ll admit I hadn’t taken this type of class before, but I’m young and in shape, so I didn’t see why it would be a problem to try it out. Before class started, the instructor, Luciana, came over to me and asked in front of the entire class if I had ever taken the class before. I said no. She then asked if I thought I could do it, and I said yes, to which she responded that I shouldn’t have been allowed to book and that, as an instructor, she would not have permitted me to take the class. She made me feel so uncomfortable that I felt I had to leave. I’ve taken several Pilates classes at other studios and have never had a negative experience. As an instructor, aren’t you supposed to teach proper positions, techniques, and form? This is the only studio I’ve been to where the instructors act as if they’re too good for you. Every other studio I’ve visited has been welcoming and willing to help correct or guide you when needed. I could understand if I was being a disruption to class, but we didn’t even start yet and I can’t imagine there was going to be anything I couldn’t follow along with.

All of the instructors at Club Pilates are great in their own ways, but Hannah really stands out. Her classes are definitely on the tougher side, but in the best way — super effective and thoughtfully planned. Her instructions are always clear, the flow is never repetitive, and she has this natural ability to challenge you while still being kind and encouraging if something feels difficult. You leave feeling stronger, more capable, and like your time was well spent. If you’re serious about results, definitely try to catch one of her classes. I always leave her class knowing I got exactly what I came for
