Staff is excellent. Nurses, techs, nps in telemetry are professional, caring, efficient, responsive, smart, knowledgeable and just damn nice. I have a very complex health situation and the care I received at Phelps was thoughtful and smart.
The admission process was easy. The admissions staff was friendly and helpful. The unit in which I was being treated was efficient. The nurses were personable. The doctor explained everything in advance of the procedure and afterward showed me pictures of what he had done.
If you could avoid, avoid at all cost. In my six decades of living, I can’t recall meeting more disinterested doctors or staff… I mean we’re talking about people that at worst simply don’t care…and at best are going through the motions…. The true definition of a clipboard doctor and staff that just wants to go home I gave it two stars because parking was convenient
As a hospital it is what it is. All depends who sees or attends to your issue. With that being said, can't complain about the service received when a family member had a brain tumor from a metastasized lung cancer.

As someone who was struggling with my sobriety, Daffney made a meaningful difference in my care during my time on 2 South. From the very beginning, she treated me with kindness, patience, and respect, which helped me feel safe and supported during a very vulnerable period. Unlike some of the other nurses, who at times came across as rude or dismissive, Daffney was consistently compassionate and approachable. She became my go to person because I knew she would listen without judgment, explain things clearly, and genuinely care about how I was feeling. I also want to say that I forgot to tell her thank you for everything she did for me, and I am truly hoping that someone tells her this for me . She really is an angel, and her compassion and professionalism had a lasting impact on my recovery journey.
