I go weekly to see Dr. Gary and can’t be more thankful for the help he provides with keeping me out of pain and just feeling good.. He is by far the most, thorough & knowledgeable chiropractor around! He genuinely cares about his patients and always makes you feel comfortable while beating treated in the office. After being to many chiropractors in the past , I would assure anyone that he’s not your traditional chiropractor and you will be more than satisfied. The office is very clean & the staff is very friendly and accommodating as well! Thanks Dr. Gary for all your help !

Short Review: Amazing, Caring, Loving Doctor ^!
Long Review: I first met Dr. Sgroi when I was 6, he had just opened up his establishment, and my mother would visit him on the weekends. I loved going to Dr. Sgroi because he was always very warm/welcoming and I got to eat Seaford Bagels in his waiting room and play Mine Sweep on his Computer!! Fast forward to present day, I am currently 31 years of age, and I still eat Seaford Bagels in his waiting room!!!!
Gary has become a very good friend to my family, he is dedicated to his profession, and is always looking for new innovative ways to help make you feel good. Just ask about the Boomerang...
IF you are in pain, not only will you get amazing professional care from Dr. Sgroi but you will also have a Doctor that truly cares and is funny all at the same time... I don’t write reviews but I felt it was important for anyone looking for a Chiropractor to know just how truly special Gary is as a Doctor but most of all as a person ^!
P.S. Genie/Kathy are epic company while you wait ^!
Frequently Asked Questions About Seaford Family Chiropractic
What conditions do chiropractors treat?
Chiropractors, also known as doctors of chiropractic (DCs), provide care for patients of all ages with various health conditions. They are particularly renowned for their expertise in treating back pain, neck pain, and headaches through specialized chiropractic adjustments. These adjustments aim to correct vertebral subluxations, which are misalignments or fixations between vertebrae that can cause nerve irritation and alter normal bodily functions. DCs also address a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and disorders, including those affecting muscles, ligaments, and joints. These conditions may involve or impact the nervous system, potentially causing referred pain and dysfunction in areas distant from the original injury site. Additionally, chiropractors offer guidance on diet, nutrition, exercise, healthy habits, and lifestyle modifications. If you're considering chiropractic treatment, we encourage you to contact Seaford Family Chiropractic to discuss your options.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
Chiropractic care is widely recognized as one of the safest non-drug, non-invasive forms of healthcare for treating neuromusculoskeletal complaints. The American Chiropractic Association reports that chiropractors treat over 35 million Americans annually, including both adults and children. While chiropractic has an excellent safety record, it's important to note that no health treatment is entirely without risk. However, the risks associated with chiropractic care are minimal. Many patients experience immediate relief after treatment, though some may feel mild soreness, stiffness, or aching, similar to what one might experience after exercise. Research indicates that any minor discomfort following spinal manipulation typically subsides within 24 hours. When comparing the risks of chiropractic care to other treatments for similar conditions, such as over-the-counter or prescription pain medications, chiropractic manipulation has a significantly lower risk profile. Chiropractors undergo extensive education to identify patients with special risk factors and ensure appropriate care, including referral to medical specialists when necessary.
Is chiropractic treatment appropriate for children?
Chiropractic care can indeed be beneficial for children. Young individuals are often physically active and may experience various falls and impacts from daily activities and sports participation. These incidents can lead to symptoms such as back and neck pain, stiffness, soreness, or discomfort. It's important to note that chiropractic treatment is always tailored to the individual patient, and for children, the approach is particularly gentle. If you're considering chiropractic care for your child, we recommend contacting Seaford Family Chiropractic to discuss the potential benefits and treatment options with a qualified chiropractor.
Do insurance plans cover chiropractic?
Chiropractic care is typically included in most health insurance plans. This coverage extends to major medical plans, workers' compensation, no-fault coverage, Medicare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans for federal employees, among others. To determine if your specific treatment is covered under your insurance plan, we recommend contacting Seaford Family Chiropractic to speak with a chiropractor who can provide more detailed information based on your individual circumstances.
How is a chiropractic adjustment performed?
A chiropractic adjustment, also known as manipulation, is a manual procedure that utilizes the highly refined skills developed during a doctor of chiropractic's extensive education. Typically, the chiropractor uses their hands or an instrument to manipulate the joints of the body, with a focus on the spine. This process aims to restore or enhance joint function, often helping to resolve joint inflammation and reduce pain. Chiropractic manipulation is a highly controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort. The chiropractor adapts the technique to meet each patient's specific needs. Many patients report positive changes in their symptoms immediately following treatment.
Is chiropractic treatment ongoing?
The nature of chiropractic care often requires patients to visit their chiropractor multiple times. Unlike some medical treatments that can be administered at home, such as taking antibiotics, chiropractic care necessitates in-person visits to the chiropractor's office. A chiropractor may provide acute, chronic, and/or preventive care, which can result in a series of appointments. The extent of treatment and its expected duration should be clearly communicated by your doctor of chiropractic at the outset of your care plan.
