Worst experience of my mothers life. They let you rot and die in the ER, doctors don't communicate effectively with patients and literally take off on weekends.

Thank you the doctors and nurses who treated my son in the emergency room this weekend. Everyone with whom we worked was kind, attentive and calming. All aspects of the treatment process were explained and follow up with results was very timely despite a busy time in the E.R. Special thanks to our Physicians Assistant, Jacob and nurses Joana and Pria.

Be aware that currently they are extremely overtaxed in the ER. I don’t know if this is something being experienced by all area hospitals right now, but people are regularly sitting in the ER for over 24 hours after already being admitted to the hospital. There are no beds. Admitted patients are lying in hallways everywhere - no privacy, no rest. Echocardiogram team left at 6, which seems crazy to me, especially at a heart hospital? Night crew was a significant downgrade from the staff helping us during the morning and afternoon. Not sure I would come here at the moment. Maybe it’s a fluke, but it was incredibly stressful. We were there 3/2/26 into 3/3/26. My mother is still in the ICU - which was been an overwhelming positive experience - and we are still hearing the high census alerts going off every day.

Awful! My husband had stroke like symptoms and after ruling out stroke a very arrogant and dismissive dr told us he thought it was nerves in his neck. I asked for another Dr and after 3 hours they told me there was no Other dr to come down and they were discharging him. We had to ask several times for medication he takes for dizziness. He was there for 12 hours and no one seemed to care he still had limited mobility and his hand swelled up. I bought it to the attention of the PA but she still discharged him. He barely get in the car. Stay away

I went to the ER at St Francis since they are a heart hospital. My blood pressure was 187 over 100. I went to urgent care for a UTI and they took my blood pressure. I waited in the waiting room for 6 hours with heart problems at St Francis. A lady with back pain went in before me.I was there for 12 hours (too much time) there was a horrible nurse named nurse Michelle who ruined everything for me.The doctors were very attentive and good.Nurse Michelle was horrible. I had an ekg they compared it to previous ones. My ankles were swollen and I had jaw pain. They did alot of tests. They X-rayed my heart to make sure there was no fluid on it. They did alot of tests. They tested my heart with blood tests I forgot what it was called. In of my heart and blood pressure they said not only do I need a higher dose of blood pressure meds I need to take it morning and night. Twice a day.But I'm almost out my pcp did not prescribe more. They did not prescribe more at the hospital. They said see your PCP. ( I had to take 4 to reduce my blood pressure. )They said it wears off so I need to take it twice a day My liver enzymes are normal now. quite miraculous. It used to be 600. I also had an MRI I had 4 at HSS and HSS does have much better x rays(they put them in color and on video) The MRI was much better at St Francis. They put a heart monitor on and it's much shorter. The discharging doctor was very nice. He had a fight with the nurse. He wanted to let me go home and she wanted to keep me. I suspect she gets a commission for it. He said the ER is to make sure you don't die. He said I am confident you won't die. There was no reason to keep me.I was there for 12 hours anyway. She got mad. The MRI was great.I Had several doctors they were all good but I Had to wait too long with no updates and heart problems and it was freezing it's not conducive to health and I'm sneezing it's freezing in there so I can't give it a good rating.
