They didn’t call me to confirm tomorrow morning appointment…customer service said she’s transferring me to scheduling dept ..kept on hold ..nobody picks up…have to leave another msg.

They do do in home repairs but one technician i do not know his name but he is the one that comes to staten Island ny he has a bad attitude and he is a no show and then lies about showing up. When he does show up his demeanor is bad. When i first recieved my second chair from them the screws all fell out the second day the arm fell. The chair was not put together right i do not recommend this place at all

He explained the process, worked with us on insurance/cost, and developed a plan we were comfortable with. He saw the project through and was professional and easy to work with. The equipment is exactly as explained, and we are happy with the result. We would recommend the company and Kevin to anyone looking for home medical equipment.

When I got there the receptionist Mike told me he would see what he could do. After a little while a repair tech came with new screws to put onto the wheel without any cost to me. How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
