  I had a very upsetting and nasty experience at Mercy Hospital’s emergency room. A security guard approached me and my father and explained that only one visitor was allowed. Which we knew, because they clearly state this when we sign in. I was arriving and he was leaving, but in any case we shouldnt have to explain ourselves. we understood and calmly said we would say our goodbyes and leave. Not even two minutes later, another group of security guards—about four of them, including a woman, came to our bedside and repeated the same thing, but in a much more aggressive and overwhelming way. It was completely unnecessary. We had already acknowledged the rule and were complying. The way they surrounded our room felt intimidating, excessive, and honestly inhumane, especially given the emotional situation of being in an emergency room. There was no empathy, no patience, and no professionalism. ‼️‼️‼️ I understand hospital policies, but there is a way to enforce them with basic respect and compassion. This was not it. Mercy Hospital continues to be let down by non-medical staff who lack empathy and professionalism. This experience left a very negative impression. ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

  I’ve been to the ER several times with my dad and Grandmother , and everyone here is incredibly kind. My dad and Grandmother always receives excellent care. Dr. Maria J. Rosario is the sweetest, most caring doctor. I couldn’t be happier with the hospital and its administration.

  Everyone one here from staff to doctors are respectful, kind and caring. I feel cared for and heard. I would highly recommend this hospital.

  Everyone says "no one writes good reviews when things go right, they just move on with their lives," but I think Mercy deserves a good review. Went the the (fairly empty) ER just after midnight on a Fri, and was out of there by 3pm after an emergency surgery. I already had an idea of what the problem was, so I think that helped speed things along, but everyone was great during all the processes. The wait times between admittance, bloods, meds, testing/CT, and results in the ER were to be expected, but definitely faster than other ERs I've been to...not to mention they saw the problem and actually DID something about it (instead of giving me a painkiller and sending me on my way like *other* places I've been to for the same problem). Spoke to a bunch of Nurses, Drs, PAs, Surgeons, etc and literally all of them were nice to me, which is kind of a shocking rarity for me, so I just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who helped me out. Dr Louie (surgeon) is probably one of the most respectful, calm, and down-to-earth drs I've ever come across, and Dr Biegel (surgeon) and his team who performed the procedure were equally incredible, thorough, quick, and kind, so an extra big thank you to all of them!
