UPD 04.24: Calling today before 12PM as I was supposed to, 3 times - nobody is picking up the phone. This is just outrageous.
UPD 04.23: It’s now Thursday and I still haven’t received the callback I was promised since Tuesday – even after following up again on Wednesday.
After calling again today, I was finally transferred to scheduling (after being told before that I couldn’t be), only to hear there’s still no availability. A manager confirmed this and told me to call her directly if I don’t hear back – so once again, I’m left chasing this myself.
This is a time-sensitive procedure, yet I’m still not scheduled. At this point, it’s not just frustrating – it’s stressful and disheartening to keep chasing something that should have been handled weeks ago.

I’ve been trying to schedule an SIS appointment for over a month, and the process has been extremely frustrating.
I was initially scheduled without clear guidance on timing requirements (it needed to be done on day 1 of my cycle), which I didn’t know at the time. When I tried to reschedule, I was transferred between multiple locations and no one could actually help.
Now, a month later, I called again since this is a time-sensitive procedure that should happen within a 10-day window, and I was told I can’t contact scheduling directly and must wait for a call back.
Honestly, it’s really hard for me to understand why something so time-sensitive is this difficult to book.

Scary, disappointing experience. Although we were assigned to a physician, we had a mandatory visit with a midwife. The midwife claimed that she was not pushing midwifery as she continued to disparage the physicians in the practice. She didn’t know I was a physician, so we just let her continue to throw her practice under the bus. Going into this we had no deeply held beliefs about midwives. Witnessing her disparage the practice changed our comfort level with this. The midwife stated that they will often change the patient’s pads and made it sound like the physicians would let a woman sit on a soiled pad. Her sales pitch seemed to be that if you choose a physician, you’re just a number, but if you choose a midwife, you get someone who cares. It was not subtle. After losing our trust, she ended with “you’re probably going to be given a midwife anyway.” I understand the economics of healthcare is supporting more midwives, but the way this was handled loses trust.
This clinic is shockingly disorganized. Scheduling is a total nightmare, and there are extremely concerning lapses of follow-up and continuity of care. The expertise is very uneven. Some excellent nursing and ultrasound staff, but also several very inexperienced or even incompetent staff. I would not recommend to anyone unless absolutely necessary.

I had a horrible experience with NUY Gynecology during my pregnancy. They constantly switched doctors, and every time I came in, the new doctor had no idea what was going on with my pregnancy. They were always late for my appointments — I would sit in the room for up to an hour waiting, and when someone finally came in, they were rushed and never made me feel like they cared about me or my baby.
The reception staff is extremely rude and unfriendly, especially when you call with questions or concerns. The worst part was when I was 37 weeks pregnant, and they cancelled my appointments for no reason. Completely unprofessional behavior.
If you’re pregnant, do not go there. It’s not a place where you will feel supported or taken care of.
