  I had a great experience with both Dr.Vargas and his medical assistant Santa. Mr.Vargas was knowledgeable, attentive, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt rushed during my visit, and all of my questions were answered with care and professionalism. The medical assistant Santa was equally impressive—friendly, organized, and very helpful throughout the entire process. They made check-in smooth and helped create a comfortable and welcoming environment.

  Lack of price transparency. I scheduled an annual appointment to get my blood tests (and almost had my bloodwork switched with another patient until I confirmed my name and birthday is not consistent with the slip) During this annual appointment, my nurse practitioner conducted an EKG where she found a n irregular heartbeat and recommended wearing a heart monitor and an ultrasound but recommended coming back for the ultrasound while they reach out to insurance. I recieved no update on insurance coverage, and ultimately was charged $983 for the heart monitor wear and ultrasound to be told by the cardiologist that my heart is healthy and be recommended another test. Better communication on coverage and pricing would have built more trust and help expectation set, but it’s hard to differentiate whether their recommended solutions arenecessary or an opportunity to up charge

  If I can leave a ZERO STAR review I would. I work for an agency that requires a physical form be filled out by my provider that states that im ok to return to work. Let’s just say it’s been 2 weeks since I have been able to work. I have emailed their medical records department, left voicemails, called several times through the day only to be forwarded to voicemail. I even followed up via email again and no one has so much as said a word. Seems like they’re quick to book appointments and charge money but anything else is not a priority to them. Must I state again that I haven’t been able to return to work because of this? I’m currently calling them now while writing this review and still not able to get a hold of anyone. I even tried calling different departments!!!! Do not come here. They only care about the money!!!!

  Absolute fraud of doctors. Overprescribe heart testing unnecessary testing at the expense of the patients health. You come in as a perfectly healthy 25 year old and they lie that you ‘’might have heart issues” a scare the hell out of you. Only to prescribe you something that costs 500$++ out of pocket, that is a scam. Give you an EKG and a heart test to take home and if fail to bring it back on their timeline (even by a day) they charge you multiple thousands of dollars out of pocket. In the moment I took mine Mahomes because I thought the doctor was being honest, then on my way home I on the subway I ran into a random guy who asked me if I had just gotten it from MoM, and he said they gave him the same thing. That’s when I knew the con — they abuse the healthcare system and prey on patient vulnerabilities. They’re making a bad name for primary care doctors in the city. STAY AWAY. THEY DONT HAVE THE PATIENTS INTEREST IN MIND. FIND SOMEONES ELSE. It’s a scam. Should be investigated for fraud.

  This place is horrible. Low quality health care. I've come in a few times and often there is some other patient raising their voice at the front desk because they're so frustrating to work with. I've waited for over an hour wearing nothing but my gown twice. I'm glad I read the reviews before coming into this location so I could be warned about them trying to upsell you cardiac services. If they tell you they want to run tests, make sure to question the heck out of why they do. I wish I could trust my provider but not here. I came in and spoke about a condition that I've discussed with other providers under the same conditions yet this doctor only wanted to talk about how we should run heart tests to rule conditions out. Did she ask me more than 3 questions? Explain the options she listed? Actually seem like she cared to treat the cause of my issue? Nope. Also FYI they charge $150 if you need to cancel within 48 hours. They are horrible at providing quality service and excellent only at taking as much of your money as possible, making you wait long hours, and being hard to contact. 'If you need an example of a company commodifying healthcare for the purpose of max profit, this is it. If you need to address your health to check it off your to-do list, this place works. Just know that if you choose this place for healthcare, you are choosing a low-quality option for your time and money. EDIT - I feel very compelled to note that my poor experience is with Dr. Hann who left me with no answers and HUNDREDS of dollars billed. As other reviews here stated, they fed me the same line: you ‘’might have heart issues”. Then did an EKG and suggested tests. After getting a second and third opinion, other providers they confirmed that the suggestions she made were not an appropriate route of care. BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR
