Dr. Arthur Jenkins is the neurosurgeon who truly saved my life. I live with hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), as well as serious cranial-cervical instability (CCI), atlantoaxial instability (AAI), and other complex comorbidities that have absolutely destroyed my quality of life. For years, I went from doctor to doctor without answers, feeling dismissed and hopeless. Dr. Jenkins was the first doctor who really listened to me, looked at the full picture of my health, and began properly diagnosing and addressing what was happening.
His expertise and compassion are unmatched. He took the time to explain things to me clearly, never rushed, and always made me feel like my voice mattered in my own care. Where so many other physicians stopped at the surface, he dug deeper until we finally had a path forward. I have every confidence that he will continue working with me until we are both happy with my results and my health is stabilized. For the first time in years, I feel like I have a real partner in my care—someone who will not give up on me.
Dr. Jenkins has given me hope, and that hope has changed everything. He has not only saved my life but is actively helping me rebuild it. I am endlessly grateful to him and would recommend him to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon who truly cares about both the science and the human being in front of him.

I also need to highlight Abigail, who works in Dr. Jenkins’ office. Living with chronic illness means endless paperwork, insurance battles, medical authorizations, and scheduling headaches—and she has been an absolute lifeline in all of this. She is organized, proactive, and incredibly compassionate.
Abigail makes managing the overwhelming details of my care so much easier. She doesn’t just wait for me to call—she reaches out with updates, answers my questions, and makes sure I feel supported every step of the way. Her patience and kindness shine through in every interaction. In a medical system that can often feel cold and impersonal, Abigail makes me feel seen, heard, and cared for.
Thanks to her dedication, I can focus more on my health and less on chasing down paperwork and approvals. She is a huge part of why my care with Dr. Jenkins has been such a positive experience. I am so grateful for everything she does behind the scenes to make this process manageable.
