I had such a great first experience at Pure Barre. Grace at the front desk was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming, she really took her time explaining everything about the class, packages, and how everything works, which made me feel so comfortable as a first timer.
Julia, my instructor, was amazing and truly knows her stuff. When I told her I was new, she asked if I had any current injuries and made sure I felt supported throughout the class. I really appreciated how she walked around the room helping people with their form and giving personalized guidance, she didn’t just help once, she checked in with me multiple times, which made a big difference.
What really stood out to me was overhearing her ask her regular students, while checking them in, if there were any updates to their past injuries and how they were feeling that day. That level of attention and care shows how thoughtful, experienced, and genuinely invested she is in her clients.
The studio is on the smaller side, but it actually made it feel more intimate and cozy. Overall such a positive, welcoming, and professional environment — I would definitely go back. Only con that I would say is the carpet inside the room smells a bit funky.

Discriminatory staff members - policies are applicable to some students not all.
I called ahead of the class to inform of train delays I reached 7 mins late to a class and the front desk staff wouldn’t allow me cause if policy which I understand but I was at the same class the previous day and 2 students were let in 15 and 20 mins after classes started. When I told him about it he said it was on those staff members what he would not let me in.

I must give an epic shout out to my Pure Barre friends! The Central Park South team is so friendly and welcoming. And the classes? It’s like wringing the stress right out of my body. The improvement in my mental and physical health is beyond words. The unlimited monthly package is well worth it if you can make it in 3 or 4 times a week. When I go 4 times in a week I treat myself to a fun pair of socks ($20ish) by their register, so many cute and colorful options. In a chaotic and stressful city, PB is the best investment you’ll ever make in yourself. You deserve it!

Really can't say enough about Pure Barre at Central Park South. I did Pure Barre in college before taking a break, but picking it up again has been a great decision for me! It's a workout I truly have not been able to achieve anywhere else - and the team is great too! Jessica is a great general manager who is very understanding to every client's situation, and she teaches a great class too! Jen's Align class is my absolute favorite, but really you can't miss with any of the classes!
