  They have passed being helpful and are now intrusive. You sign in in the hallway and not at the desk. That means where you might have been able to squeeze some privacy out, now you have someone hovering as you check in. As I walked to the room an employee complimented on my hair, but was I really interested in some random person opinion. I asked to used the bathroom, it was occupied so I waited. Just as the person exited another employee felt it necessary to hold the door for me. I don’t need random men holding bathroom doors for me. The place has changed and seems to have a lot of people who don’t have much to do.

  Seen by orthopedics here in 2022 for a serious knee issue. An MRI was done, but I was given a vague “syndrome” diagnosis and standard physical therapy that never addressed the actual problem. I repeatedly explained that this felt like a mechanical/muscle coordination issue and that therapy was making things worse. When I later reported that I could barely walk more than ~100 yards and needed a doctor’s note, I was told that “with my diagnosis, I shouldn’t be having those issues.” That response was dismissive and alarming. Years later, proper care elsewhere showed this was a functional/mechanical problem requiring more specialized evaluation. Once I finally worked with providers who understood biomechanics and muscle loading, I improved. Instead of acknowledging uncertainty or referring me out, my case was lumped into a catch-all diagnosis and effectively closed. If your issue is complex or doesn’t fit neatly into a textbook category, I’d strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.

  I started seeing orthopedic surgeon Dr. Golant for some patellar tendonitis I'd been having for years. I specifically wanted his expert opinion given his experience and focus on the patella, and he was incredibly professional, informative and supportive throughout my care. We decided to go the surgical route, and I'm so happy we did. I am now pain free and have been able to fully return to all activities. Highly recommend Dr. Golant and his staff.
