  If you or a loved one require in-home medical attention, there's no better option than Medical Care for You, PC. Let me tell you why. My father was 84 years old. Two years ago, he was diagnosed with something called interstitial lung disease. The doctors were unsure why, but the bottom line is that his condition was advanced, and the scarring it caused would only get progressively worse. For a bit more than a year, my father was able to move around the house and need oxygen only at night. But then his condition worsened and he was confined to his bed, dependent on oxygen 24 hours a day. I tried to get him to see his primary care physician, but he would not leave the house. So I did some homework and found Medical Care For You, PC. Lev, the owner of the practice, and Nick, a Nurse Practitioner, were extraordinary. They were available with very little notice. They would spend time with my father, earning his trust despite his general antipathy towards doctors. They hydrated him when it was necessary, took x-rays and drew blood, and came up with an early diagnosis of what turned out to be a really tough case of Shingles. Together, we regularly huddled and developed his plan of care, adjusting it as conditions warranted. Evertone knew the eventual outcome, but that reality never stopped Lev and Nick from fighting, each and every day, to ensure that my father had the best care and the highest quality of life possible given the circumstances. In late October, my father's respiratory system gave out. He died in his sleep of cardiac arrest. His end came very much as Nick had predicted it might. His death, though obviously sad, occurred in his home and in his bed. He was in no pain when he passed away. The dignity of his passing, and his ability to stay in the home in which my father lived for more than 50 years, are attributable in large measure to Lev, Nick and the Medical Care for You practice. I intended to write this review soon after my father's death, but I was distracted by everything one has to do to wrap up the affairs of someone who lived a long life. I thought Christmas was the right occasion to express my thoughts, as Lev and Nick gave my family the gift of allowing my father to live - and die - with the care and respect he had earned.
