Personnel was super nice. Great experience. Very careful eye exam. BUT, you are being defintely ripped off. Exact same lenses for Ray Band Meta glasses (same materials, same finishings, same prescription) pre-insurance price is twice when compared to Ray Ban’s physical store and also twice when compared to LenseCrafters online. I even thought there had to be a mistake. So if you want to be ripped off go there, or go to the Hudson Yards Ray Ban store and get same product for half the price.

I strongly urge you to think twice before doing business with this particular LensCrafters location. Frequent turnover and untrained staff. I was overcharged $168 for an eye exam and had to pay out-of-pocket because the salesperson did not thoroughly check my insurance before the exam. Instead of informing me that my plan renewal date was only a few weeks away (which would have covered the full exam), I was hit with surprise charges at the end and forced to pay. Obviously, if I was told UPFRONT about the issue, I would have waited a few weeks to have the exam done then. I would not have proceeded. I even asked at the beginning if the insurance was all set and was told yes. Only to later to be hit with a BIG bill and have to pay the full amount. Don’t take chances. Go elsewhere and save yourself the problems and hassle of dealing with this LensCrafters location. It’s not worth it and will cost you far more than expected.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters Optique

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
