Great experience! Every person working here is happy, helpful and amiable. I came here for my annual eye exam, first time with insurance with my new employer. The team ensured I knew everything that is covered and not covered for my insurance, which most optical retailers do not do. I’ll be back to update the lenses in my eyeglasses.

I had a great experience at LensCrafters today doing my contact lens fitting and training. Jasmine helped me throughout the entire process, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, especially as I was learning how to put in and take out contact lenses for the first time. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and confident before I left. You can really tell that she genuinely cares about her customers. I truly appreciate her professionalism and kindness — highly recommend asking for Jasmine!

I’ve been a life-long customer of LensCrafters all my life. I went to 510 6th Avenue location on 11/20/25 in hopes of picking out new frames, as the process for me for selecting new frames is always a challenge. Jasmine was very helpful and pleasant however, this particular store has a limited selection of small petite-frames (Children’s), which seems to be universal at other LensCrafters stores. I chose a stylish Burberry frames in hopes of the frames making me feel like myself and as if it is 2nd skin. My major concerns are always trying to find frames that will conceal/minimize the appearance of my high-index lenses and myopia diagnosis, since birth. I’ve been wearing prescription eyeglasses for almost 40 years, and when I picked up my new glasses yesterday 11/28/25 the appearance, quality, and craftsmanship was unacceptable. The lenses were poorly made and unattractive. The lenses look me back 20 years or to the year I was born which was in the 80s. I never felt so self conscious with a pair of glasses from LensCrafters until now. I felt like a I was back in the 2nd grade. My image and appearance is everything to me. When I went to the store on 11/28/25 the gentleman that was assisting me seemed to be unaware, non-chalant, and insensitive to folks with high or myopia aka high prescriptions. The current frames and lenses I have now do not look like the attached pictures, and I know the desired look with the lenses and frames can be achieved, and my current glasses came form LensCrafters. I spent over $1k to be told because my prescription is high that’s the way things are which is a reality I refuse to accept, not if I’m spending my hard earned money. I will be contacting LensCrafters corporate office, as these new protocols with multiple stores not offering smaller options of frames is disheartening, insensitive, and discriminatory towards individuals with high prescriptions. I never felt so insecure in my life until now. I’ve asked for a refund for the 2 pairs of glasses I purchased, and this store stated they couldn’t produced a receipt at the time. I went to another LensCrafters location, and I couldn’t even use my insurance because the previous order was not refunded yet. The Gentleman at the store did seem to care or tried to assist however, on a whole LensCrafters opticians need to be retained and lenses makers in the lab need better training and tools to ensure lenses with high prescriptions are created to the best of their ability. Those with high perceptions don’t always want to revert to contacts or costly lasik or other eye surgery procedures.
Update:12/725 - Please retrain opticians on how to guide customers to properly select glasses. When I made the return at this store the Staff member that was assisting me stated they would look around on the LensCrafters website to find similar or frames to the current pair I have now with the appropriate dimensions of 46-16-125… and I did a Google search this evening after going to a different LensCrafters store and was still dissatisfied with the lens quality and the frames (kids) still making the high-index lenses look too thick; to behold find pairs of Ray-Ban Kids glasses on the LensCrafters website that meet the desired frame dimensions. LensCrafters you need to reformat your website to expand the search options to include frame dimensions like websites such as Smart Buy Glasses and GlassesUSA. I just spent almost $300 out of desperation ordering any kids sized frames in the mentioned dimensions, and the frames are taking so long to ship from CHINA. I literally have invested so much time into find appropriate glasses that work great for my face size, shape, and prescription. All these details are crucial to glasses wearers. Please take what I wrote above into consideration! The issue still stands with lenses that are clearly not being made appropriately!!!!
Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters Optique
How do I know if my child needs glasses?
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
