Kimmel Pavilion is NYU Langone Health’s 21‑story inpatient facility at 424 East 34th Street in Manhattan. The pavilion provides private, single‑patient rooms and a highly integrated, technology‑driven care environment, offering a broad range of acute care and surgical services (including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, transplant, and intensive care) and housing Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital—34th Street for pediatric inpatient care.
Recovering from major surgery is never fun, but if I had to do it again, I would like to do it here. My care team was excellent, the room was one of the nicest hospital rooms I've ever seen, and I was very surprised how good the meals were. The worst bit of my stay was a malfunctioning wound vacuum that would sound an obstruction alarm every 10 minutes or so in the middle of the night, but my care team had someone on shift at 3 am so we got that resolved very very quickly. I felt like I was getting the best possible care from the time I arrived to the time I was discharged.

The doctor and nurses are amazing BUT the ONLY reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the AFTERNOON check in staff.(specifically the 5th floor) When I say horrible; HORRIBLE!
You are the first interaction when checking in.
The male working didn’t even make eye contact the whole exchange. Seemed so bothered to assist. Being a floor for surgery in the middle of Manhattan you would expect more professionalism.
Not someone that should be in the front line while dealing with patients/family/elderly there for surgery.
