- TMTirsa MDec 15, 20251.0If I could I would give 0 stars based on just being transferred to a woman on the phone without knowing. She mumbled something and I asked hello is this the ER pediatric ER and she repeated herself rudely and I said okay wow ! That’s all I needed to know NOT to go there with my child. May God bless her! SMH! We love cohens anyways but wanted to try another hospital but the city will always be that city.
- KAKatrina AhujaSep 30, 20255.0We brought my baby in late in the evening due to a high fever and suspicion of a recurring infection. The staff was quickly to admit him and we were seen very promptly and the appropriate tests were taken. All along the way the nurses and doctors were very kind and interacted well with my young baby trying to keep him calm. PA Jason Wyland was especially excellent. He answered all our questions and kept us well informed throughout the whole evening. I’m so thankful for his excellent care.

The ER staff was so friendly and so quick to get us checked in and in a room. The doctor and nurses were just as amazing. Super friendly and reassuring. They answered all the questions we had and made us feel like our child was the best patient ever. We would highly recommend.
- JHJina HicksFeb 29, 20205.0Brought in our 2 year old for a head wound (she fell down in the apt). Checking-in was pretty smooth and quick. Wait was not long. Doctors and nurses were very friendly and capable. Facilities were clean. We felt like we were overreacting to bringing our daughter in because, in the end, she didn’t need stitches. But the doctors were very reassuring, sensitive and we felt like they really listened to our concerns. Side note- the entrance to the children’s ER is the same entrance to the normal adult ER. They will lead you toward the children’s wing after check-in.
- MMMayka MosciMay 5, 20192.0Staff is friendly but be prepared to wait for 5+ hours. 3 hours for xrays results because they’re understaffed! Really NYU? Only gave the stars for doctors and nurses and workers because they are super nice but there’s something very very wrong in their system that makes them give inefficient service.

As soon as you arrive your child will have an initial screening evaluation by a pediatric emergency medicine specialist and will be moved quickly into a treatment room. If more specialized care is needed, the emergency team may collaborate with pediatric specialists across more than 35 specialty areas.
Are child life specialists available to help my child?
Yes. Child life specialists are available to help calm and engage children who are waiting to be examined and to help prepare and distract children during procedures when recommended by a doctor.
Is virtual urgent care available for children?
Yes. Urgent care video visits (Virtual Urgent Care) are available for children ages 5 and older.
