Grace the nurse in the emergency department was so amazing and kind during my painful hospital visit. I was scared and in pain and she was so helpful in making me comfortable. I didn't get good test results but the experience was better because of her so, thank you Grace and Janet at intake. Also Jarryd was awesome too 👍🏼.

The best
Given various health challenges over the decades, I’ve visited many, many emergency rooms. Lenox Hill’s was by far the best: quick, courteous, thorough, competent in every respect. Five stars all round!!!
unfortunately had to come for an ER visit and the total time viewed was 5hrs when they were pretty much empty, doctor is very friendly but the nurses/staff are very rude and unhelpful. if you don’t want to be there, then don’t! there’s no reason to yell at patients after they’ve been there for so long and just want to go home but you want to finish your conversations/texting.
disgusting behavior of trying to help sick people and families

Chanukah, 12-14-25, subfreezing temps w/ snow on the ground. A perfect day to address the nagging ache you had hoped would go away... I deeply regret having to concede that tho I may have been blacklisted by Lenox Hill, I am still welcomed with open arms in their E.R., solely on the strength of my good looks... or is it because of the insurance I carry? I d k. Other reviews notwithstanding, I spent 9 hours here and I would advise potential patients to: eat before you come and make sure your cell is charged. Expect to spend at least 6 hours here. See, the thing is, I recognize LX HILL H E.D. for what it is: the workhorse in the NW HEALTH network. It is an industrial strength experience because it has to be, reflecting the real world realities as evident on the street with intermittent intrusions by the drug-addled, mentally unstable and the homeless looking for food and a shower along with cases that clearly are not an emergency. I had three complaints, and a CAT scan, ekg, ultrasound and x-rays led to diagnosis and treatment. If you expect to find treatment akin to flying First Class on the Concorde, you've come to the wrong place. This is a nuts-and-bolts approach which has served NWH well. Do not expect anyone to come hold your hand. Any prisoner in America would gladly forfeit his right arm to access medical services meted out with the brutal efficiency and effectiveness Lenox Hill is known for. This is MY view; your experience may vary.
