Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mittra’s almost fifty years of practice of classical yoga. The practice is appropriate for students of all levels, from beginner to lifelong practitioners and accessible to so many because it meets each student where they are and according to their condition. As students move through the different series, they are encouraged to go deeper and experience the practice in a meditative and spiritual way. Sri Dharma’s passion for helping students go deeper in their practice using only the best and most efficient techniques with the ultimate goal of Self-realization (gaining absolute knowledge of the True Self) is reflected in all aspects of the Dharma Yoga system. Dharma Yoga has roots in all nine forms of yoga, including Hatha, Raja, Karma, Kriya, Bhakti, Japa, Laya, and Jnana, as well as a focus on the Eight Limbs of Yoga (Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga) with great emphasis placed on Yama and Niyama. Sri Dharma was given an extraordinary gift of knowledge in receiving yoga directly from his Guru, Sri Swami Kailashananda a.k.a. Yogi Gupta, for over a decade beginning in the early 1960s. During this period of intense study, Sri Dharma was exposed to various yoga techniques that he has refined over an almost half-century of practice and teaching into the Dharma Yoga he and his certified teachers the world over continue to share with their students each day. In essence, Dharma Yoga is a system of classical Hatha-Raja Yoga. A devotional practice that emphasizes good health, a clear mind, and a kind heart. The method weaves together many teachings to bring all students closer to the goal of Self-realization

Super rude reception staff. The grumpy old cat lady with an attitude is not quite my expectation for yoga studio staff. Trusting that karma will sort this one out ✨

The 500-hour LOAY program at Dharma Yoga was a deeply personal and transformative journey. It was a true honor to train with a living master—Sri Dharma Mittra—whose wisdom, guidance, and delightful sense of humor made every lesson both profound and joyful. One moment I’ll never forget was during satsang when he shared stories from his life that touched my heart and reminded me why I practice yoga in every aspect of life. This training is an immersion into truly living yoga—named "Life of a Yogi" for a very good reason. The physical and emotional challenges of the program pushed me beyond my comfort zone, helping me grow in ways I never expected. The mentors and staff were exceptional—supportive, knowledgeable, and dedicated to each student’s growth. The warmth and encouragement of the entire Dharma Yoga family and community made the experience even more meaningful. Saying goodbye at the end was bittersweet, knowing these connections and support will continue well beyond the training. The ultimate goal of this training is self-realization. Every challenge, every lesson, and every moment of guidance is designed to help you connect more deeply with yourself, your practice, and your life. I highly recommend this training to anyone who wants to get serious about their yoga practice and cultivate a deeper connection of mind, body, and spirit.

I have the best experience ever. My teacher was Jonathan and now Im planning to come back because it was the best class I have tried so far. He is very kind, adorable and helpful. Showed me how to stand on my head, correct a few positions (thank you very much for it). I am very impressed and I highly recommend to go to the class with Jonathan.

I'm an old student of our teacher. He taught me something very important a long time ago. I traveled for 20 years, went to the other side of the world and back searching and learning, and now I finally understand. You can imagine the excitement I felt to see our teacher again after so much time. 😕 The lady at the front desk was hostile. She is a small white woman with glasses. She doesn't remember me, but I remember her. I took a class once with her. She had negative energy then and nothing has changed. She kicked me out of the yoga studio. I didn't think a yoga studio would do that. I understand she needs help, still... but does she have to spread her pain to those coming, seeking help. I'm very sad and disappointed. Please put her somewhere she can do good and not spread pain. Thank you and God bless.
