My experience was mixed today because I had a different experience first walking in versus the experience I had with the instructor. Molly greeted us in the beginning and was very warm. At the end of class, she set us up with our monthly package and was nice to speak with. I came with my partner and our class with Peter wasn’t great. To start, this was an introductory class and some clients were new to Pilates. Multiple people arrived to this class about 5 minutes to the start and everyone needed to complete the initial paperwork, but only after the first two clients were done, he was ready to start. Molly informed him there were four more that were here for the class, which he could plainly see through the glass. After my partner, and I walked in, he started class before the final two arrivals were finished with their paperwork. He was very snappy with the two younger African American girls and even was clapping his hands at them, yelling that they were doing it wrong without explaining how to do it correctly. He even told one girl that she was a mess. They stated it was their first time taking the class(and probably their last due to their experience). He never got up to assist them, until the one time when I got so frustrated with the way he was treating those two young girls that I got up off my reformer to assist one of them and only then is when he said, "oh I got it. I got it. I can help them." He even stated during class that he was in a bad mood, I assume to explain away his snappiness, which I believe to be highly unprofessional. Then, he proceeded to end the class after we had only gotten in about 20 minutes of work and the two younger girls that arrived got about 12 minutes of work, stating that the class starts at 11 and it was only for 30 minutes. He left a very sour taste in my mouth and the other clients that I spoke to afterwards agreed, and if he's a representative of this establishment , and how people are treated, I can't imagine more people wanting to take his class, I know I never will again. But definitely give other instructors a try. I hear they’re good.

Club Pilates Harlem has really become like a second home to me! Amazing community & brilliant instructors. Candace’s classes in particular wow me every time. She is tough but so fun, kind, cool—I feel so joyful in her classes. I have also learned so much about my own body through her instruction. She is outstanding at explaining pretty complex moves & their impact. A benevolent leader & delightful genius!

Arianna, was amazing ! I’ve been hearing a lot about Pilates all over social media. I decided to take an intro session to see what it is about and Arianna was great. The intro is great for beginners for wanting to learn. She was patient, clear and checked in to see if there any health concerns prior to starting. Although it was an intro, I was sore the next day. The location was also pretty convenient to get to and the rest of the staff were great and made me comfortable to come again. So thank you for my first time experience.

I am completely smitten with Club Pilates Harlem! The space is so inviting, and the studio is kept super clean. Everyone at the front desk is warm and welcoming. They make it a point to get to know you, check in and make sure you’re getting everything you want out of your classes. This definitely attracts an equally as delightful clientele. It’s a true judgement free zone, an everyone who takes class is happy to be there and it shows.
The instructors are great- I especially love Holly’s classes; she is an absolute master at her craft and her vibes are immaculate (as are her playlists!). Additional shout-outs to Arianna, Deirdre and Peter. All have their own style and all are give workouts.
Looking forward to many more classes here!
