I am a student so finding appointment times that did not overlap with my class times was difficult. I had a 9:45 am appointment today and they informed me the store did not open till 10 so I could just wait outside until they were ready to see me. I arrived FIVE minutes late (9:50 am) and they turned me away and said I could not do the contact portion of the exam, which is the only thing I was there for. Absolutely rude and unempathetic.

Do NOT visit Warby Parker.
There is a complete lack of communication between store locations and corporate (which is the only contact number provided). You cannot reach the store directly when issues arise.
1. Upselling and Pricing Issues
When confirming the cost of an eye exam, expect to be quoted one price over the phone and then presented with a higher cost in-store. This appears to be due to the addition of an extra procedure (likely eye pressure testing) that is not clearly disclosed upfront.
I was pressured to accept this add-on three separate times—at check-in, before the exam, and again by the doctor. After declining each time, I was still charged at the high end of the originally quoted range. One “no” should be sufficient.
2. Difficulty Obtaining Your Prescription
Make sure to get a copy of your prescription before leaving the store. If you try to request it later, you may experience long hold times, only to be told there is no prescription on file—even if your exam was recent.
You’ll then be told they need to “contact the store,” creating unnecessary delays. This process feels intentionally difficult, especially if you want to purchase glasses or contacts elsewhere.
3. Incorrect Prescription and Missing Receipt
My prescription was issued incorrectly. I paid for progressive lenses but was given a single-vision distance prescription.
Additionally, I never received a receipt for my purchase. When I attempted to follow up, I couldn’t contact the store directly—only the general customer service line, which had no record of my visit on 3/29/26. The only record they could find was from 2015, despite having recently updated my information.
This level of disorganization is unacceptable.

Definitely a 5-Star experience all around. The Dr for the eye exam was highly professional and thorough, and put us at ease immediately.
The help we received from Ashley picking out frames and learning about the different types of lenses available was outstanding.
Warby Parker is definitely the place to be. Everyone there is more than 100%. ❤️
