  My dad recently passed away at the age of 97 and did not want any home care from anyone other than a family member, and I live out of state. When he finally agreed a year ago, we were blessed to have Mariella take care of him 5 days a week, and when he needed more, we then added Joy on the weekends. Both of these women were excellent care providers. They felt like family to my dad and to me. Aging in place is very difficult for the person needing help and for the family to have the right help. I highly recommend Home Instead, Staten Island if you need care for your loved one. Thank you for taking wonderful care of my dad.❤️

  Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the help and care that Home Instead was able to provide for our dad and aunt. We were in a situation where we needed 24/7 in-home care for both of them. Jackie Reiter and the Home Instead staff did a great job keeping our in-home care at a level of quality that met both our standards and our needs. We would highly recommend Home Instead care, for people like us, who want dependable and excellent in-home care for their loved ones.

  When my father broke his hip he went for rehab at a local nursing home after his operation. It became clear there that due to his ongoing memory issues, he would need to have someone to be with him at all times, and would need regular assistance. The recommendation was that he be admitted into nursing home care once his rehabilitation was complete. Wanting to bring him home for as long as possible, we contacted many of the home assistance companies in Staten Island and found that Jackie Reiter and Home Instead were able to provide the best service and find people to assist my father with the experience and understanding necessary for his condition. Jackie talked to me for an hour to find out as much as she could about my father's needs. She also helped educate me about what to expect and assured me that she would work with me over the first few days my father was home to find the best approach and people to care for him. She was true to her word, and in that first week found the ideal person and daily schedule for my father.

  Home Instead of Staten Island went above and beyond to ensure that my mom's needs were met. Their aides are wonderful and the entire staff is very responsive and caring.

  Home Instead took great care of my mom for about 1.5 years. The care givers were wonderful competent people and the office was very diligent about providing proper coverage. I highly recommend them.
