My husband just had a procedure done there and the experience was excellent. We were greeted with handshakes from all of the staff involved in his care. The day started at 6am and we left at about 10:45am. Everything was well coordinated with no mishaps in between. The most beautiful gesture happened towards the end of it all. While waiting in the lobby for my husband, the doctor who did the procedure for my husband came down ftrom the second floor to the lobby to share with me that everything went well and that I would be allowed to go up to be with my husband. That was amazing!!

I went in for my surgery at 5 Am. Was prepped and the surgery started at 7 AM. When I awoke it was late in the day I was groggy and had questions. When my eyes opened my Night Nurse Brittany was there. She assured me I was doing well and that I and that I was in very good hands and that I had nothing to worry about. During the course of the evening she proved. It through actions not just words.. I was monitored and any fluctuations triggered an immediate response from my care team.
In the morning my surgeon Dr ABROL stopped by to check on me and I met my day nurse Jen. Who went on to explain how good the cardiatric unit at Winthrop was and that I was in good hands.
I had zero anxiety. By the end of my second day my pain meds were down to Tylenol and I felt really well.
I had 2 Nurse Assistants Monica and Sunar who were my arms and legs. They did everything for me. My team was a well oiled machine. I could not have been In better hands. I was in on FRIDAY out on TUESDAY.. I was able to get out of the car unassisted walk up the driveway and enter the house by myself.
I really can’t express happy I was with my out come.
My 2 week stay here was met with exceptional service by the doctors and nursing staff that treated me here. I would recommend this hospital over others. I cannot thank the nursing staff enough for their great service. The doctors do care about your well being here. The food also exceeded my expectations here too. I am glad I made the right decision on coming here for my emergency surgery. Thank you to the nursing staff in the Hoag Bldg. 6th floor unit.

I delivered here only bc they’ve told me I’d get my tubes tied a day after delivering. Well, they lied, they pulled the whole wheelchair up to my room to make it look like I was getting it done. When in fact this is now the 7th time( case) that I hear that this hospital is going to do your tubes tied but they’ll cancel it
A nurse, Russian or Greek, disgusting and careless attitude, the entire time I was there. She only played nice when her boss was coming up bc I was complaining about their lies .. my friend delivered here a year ago, she was supposed to get her tubes tied, they did the same thing to her that they did to me, brought the wheelchair up, claiming we were heading downstairs to get our tubes tied. Same lie to the both of us, doctor called out.

Worst hospital dirty everything old. Had family.member go in through ER sat in chair in ER for 9 hours got a gurney in hallway then finally a space with a curtain and out of hallway. Signed admission forms. Finally almost 24 hours later sees a doctor who said was being admitted yet again Signed admission forms. Was waiting to get a test done for 5 hours still has not gotten test done. Moved him into another area of ER 3 hours after signing 2nd admission forms. Now saying he will get into a room tomorrow. He has been in ER for 2 days with barely speaking to any doctors. This new ER space ceiling tile stained and hanging from ceiling over his head.
No communication most of nurses sitting behind desks no doctors going around and too keep someone in those time uncomfortable gurney terrible. Absolutely worst hospital ever been too
When he switched to new area in ER nurse left garbage on the bed.
