Dr. Scott Udoff is the kind of doctor you rarely come across anymore - a true throwback in the best sense of the word. He doesn’t just focus on your teeth; he takes a whole-body approach, looking at how everything is connected, more like a thoughtful physician than a typical dentist. He’s compassionate, honest, and direct - no fluff, no upsell, just real guidance you can trust. His work is incredibly gentle - I’ve never felt his injections, which says everything about his skill. What really sets him apart is how genuine he is. He takes a real interest in our entire family, especially my teenage kids. He relates to them naturally and makes them feel comfortable - not in a forced way, but because he truly cares. His staff is just as incredible - kind, professional, and aligned with the same level of care and integrity. This is holistic care as good as it gets. We travel two hours each way to see him, which should tell you everything you need to know. Dr. Udoff and his team are that exceptional. Highly recommend.

A friend of mine recommended I make an appointment with Whole Body Dentistry because of the pain I was in when clenching my teeth and chewing, and because I was curious about braces. I’m glad I made the appointment because a whole slew of issues were discovered here that no other dentist had bothered to bring up or address with me in the past. Having a nasty bite requires a custom-made appliance to help realign my jaw. I’ve had this appliance for a few months now and all pain has subsided. Great service, kind staff, highly recommended!

Dr. Udoff and his staff are wonderful. I had to get a deep cleaning and was a bit nervous as I had one done a few years ago at another Dental office and it was very painful. After completing my cleaning at Dr. Udoff’s office I was so happy because it wasn’t painful at all! They did a fantastic job! The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable, I would recommend this office to my friends!

I had a mixed experience at this office. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, my consultation with Dr. Udoff was disappointing, especially considering the $495 consultation fee. I was referred by both my dentist and orthodontist to see a TMJ specialist due to ongoing jaw pain, clicking when speaking, and clicking when opening and closing my mouth. I was not even aware that TMJ specialists existed until they recommended I seek one out. Unfortunately, from the start of the appointment, I felt uncomfortable. Dr. Udoff repeatedly questioned why I came to the office and how I found them. He also asked if I was seeking cosmetic surgery, despite my clear explanation that I was experiencing jaw pain and functional issues. The conversation felt dismissive, and I did not feel that my concerns were being taken seriously. After about 15 minutes, it was clear that the appointment was not going anywhere productive. What was most concerning to me was that my mouth or jaw was never examined during the visit. I left feeling unheard and uncomfortable, which made it difficult for me to trust the care I was seeking. When someone is dealing with ongoing pain and seeks a specialist for help, bedside manner and taking patient concerns seriously are extremely important. While the staff were kind, my experience with the consultation itself was not what I expected

Frequently Asked Questions About Whole Body Dentistry

How are chronic inflammation diseases related to dental oral health?

Chronic inflammation diseases are closely linked to dental oral health. The inflammatory process begins when the immune system detects a foreign irritant, triggering the sympathetic nervous system. This leads to an inflammatory cascade to combat pathogens. Chronic inflammation occurs when this process continues long-term, often due to factors such as metal dental work, bacterial overgrowth from gum disease, or root canal infections. These conditions can result in chronic jaw infections, known as NICO, which contribute to ongoing inflammation in the body.

How is the autoimmune system related to oral health?

The autoimmune system and oral health are interconnected through the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) present in every cell. The MHC helps the immune system identify cells as part of the body. However, toxins from root canal treatments, jaw infections, and mercury from silver fillings can alter the MHC's form. This alteration can lead to the immune system attacking these cells, potentially causing autoimmune conditions such as multiple sclerosis or ALS, depending on the affected cell type.
