Painless and caring approach she takes pride in her work for a successful outcome! From the minute I called Dr. Gewant's office to set up an appointment, I could tell this would be a much different experience than the other periodontists I had visited in the past. The front desk staff were so kind, patient and welcoming. Dr. Gewant was personable and approachable – instantly put me at ease. He spent a lot of time reviewing my medical and dental history and looking at my xrays. He took the time to listen to my concerns, and I did not feel rushed at any point during the appointment. Prior to visiting Dr. Gewant, I had seen three other periodontists over the years who ALL told me I needed a full mouth of gum grafting - one quoting me over $10,000 worth of work and insisted that if I did not get the procedure done I would lose all of my teeth. After reviewing my records and giving me an exam, Dr. Gewant determined that I did not need ANY grafting done and assured me I would not lose any teeth - a far cry from what the other doctors had tried to scare me into doing. I am beyond appreciative for Dr. Gewant’s honesty and integrity. He is not looking to rush into procedures so he can financially benefit – he has the best interest of the patient in mind. I left this appointment and called my dentist from the car to thank him for referring me to Dr. Gewant!
