  Avoid. Do not bring your children here. My daughter was recently diagnosed with leukemia and we had brought her in several times over a 3 week period (her symptoms were fever and lethargy with nothing else. No runny nose, no coughing, no stomach ache, no chest pains). Over the course of these 4 or 5 visits each one was chalked up to “viral” infection. “We don’t treat viral infections. Drink plenty of fluids and get some rest”. At one point they claimed she had multiple “viral” infections. Finally my wife called and demanded a blood test on day 5 of fever of 100 / 101. The doctor said sure we can do that if you want. After getting the blood drawn, we get a frantic call from the doctor on call at 9pm to say: “I don’t know who you’ve been seeing but take your daughter to the ER immediately! Her hemoglobin is very low!!” I don’t know what causes these issues here however I would’ve thought a child presenting only a fever over ~3 weeks would warrant bloodwork and further testing. Perhaps they don’t read the actual histories of their patients or think that prior visits are connected to present symptoms.

  Our second pediatrician here, is very caring, knowlegeable and great with kids. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the negative reviews for the front desk, it's a shame and really terrible they speak to the parents of often times sick children in such a poor and rude manner- the organization should invest in training for them.

  To ALL reading reviews about the Massapequa location Northwell Cohens General Pediatric. No wonder why their reviews are in the three star. They deserve NO STARS. Look at the hospital ratings. Cohen Children's Medical Center 3.5 (738) Do yourself a favor go somewhere more reputable. Administration is a wreck. We have wasted countless days trying so hard to get apts, paperwork, approvals, peer to peers & what is worse is the Dr forgot to enter the notes and clinical records. Dr Fagan expressing he is also appalled w his OWN PRACTICE. But NOTHING ever done. He just tells you to see him in another location. Not ok! NOT GOING TO LAKE SUCCESS. Christine the so called Supervisor - WOW. The rude people in the office. This especially goes out to the special needs parents - PLEASE DO NOT go to a place like this or you will be running and jumping through hoops!! The way they've stressed out my family and I is disgraceful. The neglect has been unreal. The help was never satisfactory. The FRONT DESK was never kind. The office is dirty. The people are not concerned with compassion and help for our children. A disgrace and an embarrassment to NORTHWELL. They didn't even tell me I needed a developmental Pediatrician for years and my daughter is already six!! Even my care advocates at United healthcare Oxford were blown away at how the office was ran. NOW we get an approval for a test FINALLY after we did all the work and I call for an apt to NORTHWELL labs and the script was never put in the system. So I STILL CANT MAKE ANY APPOINTMENT! The fact that they can do this to families and cause stress and anxiety is exactly why you cannot trust this facility or Dr. Never any apt available at all for sick visits in 6 years. Always sorry you will have to go to an urgent care. Pediatrician? No. Basically only good for immunizations heights and weights. Nothing else don't waste your time.

  Dr. Allmer and Dr. Belfon are truly the best. Their bedside manner is exceptional, and it’s clear they genuinely care about their patients. The front desk staff is so sweet to my kids, and the nurses are incredibly gentle. We absolutely love this office!

  This pediatrician’s office is always clean, welcoming, and friendly. Christina truly stands out—she is consistently helpful, understanding, and incredibly kind. She makes every visit feel easy and reassuring. We’re so grateful for her and the wonderful care provided here!
