I came on after falling down the steps and messing up my shoulder bad, I don’t know if it was the color of my skin or because I’m a women hut 5 hours just to be x rayed and sent on my way is crazy.
I have an auto immune disease which causes my blood to clot, on top of the blinding pain where I’m taking 6- 7 extra strength Tylenol, my right hand is turning blue and they treat me like a junkie when I let them know the Tylenol isn’t enough. The best part I was never seen by a doctor just a nurse who thinks she is.

I brought my son here Oct 2025 when he'd been suffering from severe muscle spasms, painfully cold vasoconstriction, numbness, and paresthesia (crawling, stinging sensations) all over his body since Sept. after staying at a Marriott hotel. He'd already been to Saratoga Hospital which was useless. So I brought him here.
The PA dismissed the entire thing as allergies & OCD. I asked her if she'd ever seen anyone with these symptoms as a result of simple allergies before, and she admitted she hadn't.
Health care professionals repeatedly dismissed my son's obvious health crisis as psychological or refused to see him. St. Peter's Neurology said they didn't treat those symptoms. Rheumatologists refused to see him. Allergists wouldn't see him.
Since med profs don't have time to research about patients, it's up to an unpaid mom to research. So I'm getting 3-4 hrs of sleep per night for months, cleaning for allergens, and researching nightly.
Only after 4 mos, after his PCP ordered more bloodwork at my request, did we learn he has copper deficiency with peripheral neuropathy or myeloneuropathy.
Listen well: because of the DELAY in copper treatment, it’ll take months to heal and complete healing isn’t guaranteed.
Thanks Malta Med. I suggest you do bloodwork for COPPER next time. His life has been torment for 6 months with no end in sight. He can't go in my car, he can't sleep in his bed, we have to wash his clothes daily on super hot, our electric bills are awful, he can't go to friends' houses,& he can't pursue his hobby, becuz with copper deficiency he’s become hypersensitive to allergens& chemicals, his nerves have lost insulation,& SOME people just toss out a guess as a diagnosis as if it were fact, send you home to suffer, & get paid for it. What a fraud the US healthcare system is.

Sad to see how fast this place declined because of the miserable administrative staff. This used to be considered a decent, and possibly even a friendly urgent care. Unfortunately due to the new staff, it took a serious downturn in quality, competence, and hasn't bounced back since. There were signs the practice was declining over the years, but the breaking point for us was when we were quite aggressively yelled at just for asking a simple billing and paperwork question to the male employee behind the glass who checks patients into the urgent care. His response scared us, as well as the others in the waiting room. We ended up leaving because a place that would hire someone like that, is not a place we can entrust with our health.
Even before Malta Med lost our business, I always found it concerning that the male doctors they hired couldn't have known less about women's health. When I went to a hospital in another state, they were shocked at how Malta Med missed such obvious feminine health issues that could have been addressed right then and there. Instead I was told they had no idea why I was in pain and this caused me to be in pain for many months without answers. Each time I went back, none of their doctors could figure out even the most basic of issues.
This is not, and has never been, a place to go for anything remotely complex such as autoimmune issues, pain, or something as simple as women's health. I didn't realize female anatomy was such rocket science to them.

While I have generally had good experiences, in reading the notes from the last visit I saw references to a physical exam that never occurred and abnormal test results that were never discussed with me (breach of duty, perhaps worse if I had not checked online), making me lose confidence in the advice I was given by an otherwise very nice PA and also potentially endangering me.

Over 2 hours they called in less than 5 people. Went to ask how long the wait was going to be and there is no employee back there. Waited 5 minutes and still nobody showed up. Wouldn't go here if you want to be seen.
