  At Lynbrook Restorative Therapy and Nursing the care team is truly divine, From the nurses to cleaning staff, their compassion clearly shines. Claire’s attentive nursing skills were truly top-notch, Always patient, kind, and caring—day or night watch. Derek kept residents laughing, sharp, and bright, With live game shows and themed dinners, it truly was a delight. The Physical Therapy team was simply the best we’d seen, They got my 90-year-old mom stretching her legs and standing in between scenes. No one else could get her moving, but Lynbrook found the way, Encouraging her gently more and more each and every day. Emily helped with questions and paperwork without delay, Fixing a tiny issue with kindness right away. And just when you think they couldn’t do more to make your day, There’s a quaint little bakery where residents can nosh and stay without delay. For care, compassion, and staff that truly shine, Lynbrook Restorative Therapy and Nursing deserves five stars every time.

  I was very happy to be greeted with free refreshments as it was a long and early trip to Lynbrook. I was able to stay hydrated during my visit and was pleased with the meal offerings as well as ham sandwiches. The dining room was cozy and comfortable.

  I would like to take a moment to recognize Norma Jean, a Recreation employee at Lynbrook Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility, for the incredible care and positivity she brings to the residents and their families. Norma Jean is always pleasant, kind, and attentive. She genuinely caters to both residents and family members, and it truly shows in the way she interacts with everyone. My father is a resident at Lynbrook, and he constantly talks about how nice Norma Jean is, not just to him, but to all of the residents. He often tells me how she makes him laugh and lifts his spirits when he’s feeling down. I’ve also heard similar praise from other residents, which speaks volumes about the consistency of her care. One recreation evening stands out in particular. There was a scheduled Casino Night that family members (including myself) attended, but unfortunately the scheduled entertainer never showed up. Norma Jean was the recreation staff on duty that evening. She immediately apologized and reassured everyone, by saying, “Don’t worry we’re still going to have some fun.” She pulled out games, engaged the residents and family members, and turned what could have been a disappointing night into an evening full of laughter, connection, and joy. She was incredibly apologetic and handled the situation with professionalism and heart. I shared this experience with Kevin, the Director of Recreation, just last week when he contacted me about attending another scheduled recreation "movie night", because it truly made an impression. Employees like Norma Jean make a huge difference in organizations like Lynbrook. In a world where we often hear horror stories about nursing homes, family members naturally worry about their loved ones. Norma Jean brings comfort, reassurance, and genuine happiness to the residents, and that means more than words can express. I’m posting this review in hopes that outstanding employees like Norma Jean are acknowledged for their hard work and dedication. It truly goes a long way, not only for the residents and families who experience it firsthand, but also for those viewing Lynbrook from the outside and considering having their love ones become a resident in this facility.
