Would not recommend!
Our appointment started off okay. The first small filling went pretty smooth. After that Dr. Nancy suggested that she would give my daughter a little break. She left the room while keeping the nitrous oxide on for about 10 minutes and then finally came back in. As she went to put the mouthpiece back in my daughter’s mouth she started getting a little anxious, so I told her to “relax and just breathe”. Dr. Nancy looks over at me and says “if you don’t mind I’m going to be the one doing all the talking here” she proceeded to drill my daughter‘s tooth while my daughter was screaming in pain. She told my daughter she needs to stay quiet because she was going to scare the other kids in the office. She started poking around at the tooth asking her if it hurt she said it did so she gave her more Novacaine and then had to wait 5 more minutes.
When she restarted she was still screaming in pain. Dr. Nancy looked at me and said I promise you it doesn’t hurt. The assistant had sprayed water in her mouth and my daughter proceeded to choke on the water. After a few minutes of no one doing anything I yelled out she’s choking. Dr Nancy looked over at me and yelled “she’s not choking” as she sat her up and took her mouth piece out. She WAS choking. Dr. Nancy then apologized for “lashing out at me” . She was able to proceed with the rest of the procedure, my daughter still in pain throughout the entire thing.
At the end she said to my daughter “now we’re still friends, right? And that didn’t hurt and you weren’t choking, right?
Then turns to me and says “she won’t need to come back here for any future appointments unless you decided to come for regular cleanings and I completely understand if you don’t want to come back”
We proceeded to the front desk where we cashed out and the receptionist said someone will be calling tomorrow the check in on her. No one ever called.
Later my daughter told me, “Right before I started choking, I felt like I was going to die.” As a parent, that was heartbreaking.
I’m sharing this because no child should go through what mine did. I would not recommend Where Smiles Grow.

I recently took my daughter to this dentist, and I was very disappointed with the experience. They did not allow me to stay in the room with her during the appointment. Instead, I was left standing in the hallway, and they closed the door after my daughter went inside. As a parent, I felt uncomfortable and upset, especially since my daughter was anxious and needed my support. I believe parents should always be given the option to stay with their child during dental visits.
