- BBBrownGurlSep 1, 20211.0First of all, I made an appointment online for 5pm appointment around 1pm. I got an email stating the appointment was pending. Although it was STILL pending at 5pm, I went in and asked if I could be seen. Receptionist had no knowledge of my appointment request. I went here with COVID symptoms to be evaluated and tested at the advice of my PCP. Because I had a bill from 3 years ago for $20 they refused to treat me. I told the receptionist the charge (not a co-pay) was in dispute with billing and my insurance company. She then proceeded to embarrass me by disclosing my entire office visit, medial diagnosis, x-rays and how I accumulated that $20 fee to the entire waiting room (HIPPA violation). She stated she did not understand what I could be disputing (not her business). This was rude, unnecessary, unprofessional, inappropriate and not for me to be discussing with a receptionist. I finally interrupted her in the midst of my medical history reveal and verified I could not be seen for a 3 year old bill for $20. She again refused me medical care. We are in a pandemic and providers are still refusing to treat people for COVID??? My insurance doesn't even require copay for COVID related care.. I told her I would pay today's copay and was still refused medical care. I write this as I sit in the Emergency Room possibly exposing more people to COVID. This place doesn't care about patients just the money! I'm glad I made it to the ER.
