This is for store in Kingston (NY) in Kingston Mall: Yujin who provided assistance in purchasing glasses was amazing, kinds and extremly helpful. However, doctor's appointment attendance and associate that works with the doctor, were extremly disappointing. I had virtual appointment scheduled at 9.30 and was waiting for 30 min without any informatikn. At 10 I had to ask if my appointment will actually take a place. Only then I was told by the Dr's associate - with no appologie or even looking at me - that she was running late this morning with her schedule with my virtual appointment so she changed my appoinment and I will now need to wait to see doctor in person - he/she was suppose to arrive in 2 minutes. At 10.15 there was still no doctor, I got no new infor or any kind of acknowledgement and when I said that I cannot wait anymore as I have to go back to work, the Associate offered next appointment 2 weeks latter. Still no appology or any attempt to acknowledge her mistake or offer help. Very disapointing. I will be booking my appointment in another place. Highly recommend sale staff at this store, but doctors office is disassterr

Very personable. Brought my BRAND NEW glasses (10 days old) after an incident and not only were they sympathetic and really felt the sadness with me. They went out of their way to reassure me I could use my insurance and pay a fraction which was a great comfort to me.

I am pretty easy-going when it comes to retail/healthcare, but I had a bafflingly negative experience. I wait for a bit, no worries, then they told me the doctor I booked with doesn't take my insurance (the website said LensCrafters did). They didn't have availability with an in-network doctor for three weeks, so I was stuck with the $70 charge, my glasses are broken. Then I wait around for another half an hour because they had technical difficulties. Not anyone's fault, but nobody remembered to tell me what was going on, I guess just assumed I'd eavesdrop on their conversation? The team lead was just annoyed with the situation and did not apologize. Other folks were more polite, but overall it felt like consideration for my time was really cursory. Between pre- and post-appointment I waited for nearly an hour. I can't really recommend LensCrafters unless you call to confirm that specific doctor takes your insurance and you don't have anything to do that day.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
