  Northwell Health Gynecology/Obstetrics at Islandia, whose Director is Dr. Vanessa Soviero, is absolutely top notch. The check-in staff is friendly, proficient and professional. Rakita was so helpful and personable. My MA, Tatyana, was very thorough in going over my history and the reasons I was in the office currently. She was so smiley and upbeat. Dr. Soviero treats you with respect, honesty and compassion. She gives you as much time as you need and never rushes you through your appointment. Dr. Soviero was presented with my concerns and always works with me to find good and workable solutions for whatever is going on with me. I adore her and she is the consummate professional. I’m so happy to have found her. Delysia, the scribe, was super friendly and helpful and positively contributed to the conversation. Jessica L. helped me with the checkout process and was personable, helpful and quick in assisting me. Everyone at this office is thoroughly impressive!

  My wife is 7 months pregnant and she was starting to feel a bit ill. Our first child had recently gotten over the hand mouth and foot virus, so we suspected that she got some form of that because she helped watch him a couple days since we couldn't send him to daycare. We called this doctor's office to see her PCP, and they said her symptoms are too similar to COVID, so they will not allow her in the building. Now, I find this crazy... that's the job these doctors, nurses, and office staff has signed up for by being in the medical field. That is their job.. Imagine if a firefighter said they wouldn't go into a burning building to try and save the people that's stuck inside? They would lose their job and much respect because they know full well that this is the job these honorable men & women of the fire department signed up for. This doctor's office has no honor. They have NO right to even be a medical facility because they turned away a 7 month pregnant women who just wanted to get checked out. She ended up going to her OB-GYN who did a COVID test which obviously came back negative and then reassured her that there is no issue. Just seems like a normal cold.

  Terrible customer service. I called with a very simple question. Incompetent staff juggled my call from person to person until they finally just routed me to a automated review system that hung up on me. I tried calling them 7 times with this same result.
