  Tried to get into a Dermatologist prior to this but was told they were booking into June. That's the only reason I went there. NP Susaye Smith prescribed a topical Rx when I asked for oral. What she prescribed was not even covered by my insurance. When I called the office to speak to her she would not let me get a word in edgewise and rudely continued with raising her voice, admonishing me even though I asked her if I could please speak. Nope-- she just kept on going. Receptionist very curt & abrupt answering the phone also, kept putting me on hold & also kept talking over me. What has happened to healthcare for the elderly in this country? Encountering this type of treatment is like a slap in the face! Paid co-pay of $40.00 for nothing! Avoid this place at any cost!

  This week I visited the Glenmont location of the Albany Med Emergent Care center for a laceration on my head. It was just under an inch long and needed 3 staples. But the PA who used the staple gun wasn't that proficient and the wound wasn't closed by the staples at all. To fix it properly, I then went to the MediRite urgent care in Delmar and got three sutures, which actually closed up the wound. My visit to the Albany Med urgent care was very fast, no waiting and easy to make an appt online via MyChart. All the staff were very pleasant, efficient and helpful -- but the end result was a total waste of time & money as I had to redo the entire procedure at a different clinic.

  Went yesterday due to fever and cough. I have had a fever going on 3 days now and I bad chest infection. Im really beyond sick of being told its viral you dont need any antibiotics. Here we are day 4 with fever. I have decided im done going to urgent cares unless I need a note for work but I can do that with doc on demand. Waste of money and time.

  In and out within 30 minutes, and the NP was very friendly and thorough.
