I had such a great experience here! The customer service was truly outstanding. They allowed me to exchange my glasses without any hesitation and even let me keep my current pair while I wait for the replacement — which I really appreciated.
Shout out to staff- Chanel for being so helpful, kind, and professional throughout the whole process. She made everything easy and stress-free. Highly recommend!

Great experience. A appointment was made last moment and when I showed up early it was moved up so o don’t need to keep waiting. The front desk was educated on how to fill out the forms and guided me on my concerns on the forms. The doctor was very professional and connected with her career as she did let me know my contacts will be soon getting discontinued and recommended a change to a newer version. In terms of the vision exam she addressed all my concerns and ensured I was getting the sharpest vision. Overall best experience I’ve had at a eye doctor.

I recently visited LensCrafters for an eye exam, and I had a fantastic experience. The eye doctor was professional, thorough, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. They explained everything clearly and answered all my questions, which I really appreciated.
I also want to highlight the excellent service from the girl who assisted me. She was friendly, patient, and very helpful in guiding me through the frame selection process. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made the whole experience enjoyable.
Overall, I had a wonderful visit and would highly recommend LensCrafters for both their expert care and outstanding customer service.

The Doors Were Closing. The Service Was Not.
If you ever want to see what real customer service looks like, take notes from LensCrafters. Specifically Denise.
Picture this: we walk in seven minutes before closing. SEVEN. The universal signal for “sorry, computers are down, try again tomorrow.” Except… not here. Denise welcomed us in with a smile like she had all the time in the world. No rushing. No sighing. No side-eye. Just pure professionalism.
We came in with an issue regarding Meta glasses, and Denise did exactly what customer service is supposed to do, she listened. She sat with us, troubleshot the issue step by step, and made us feel seen and heard. When we were ready to check out, an override issue popped up and there was no manager on site. Instead of winging it or brushing us off, Denise calmly explained the situation, asked us to come back the next day when a manager is present as the manager would be able to fix it. Noting that we couldn't, she asked if she could call us. We accepted and she gave us a specific callback window: between 12:00 and 12:30.
Now listen… after the struggle we had just been through trying to get these glasses, we were a little antsy. Okay, very antsy. But we left hopeful.
At 12:15 PM the next day, right on time, Denise called us back with a solution and confirmed when we’d receive our replacement. MIC DROP. 🎤
We also want to shout out the supervisor who followed through behind the scenes. We may not know all the details, but the follow-through was loud and clear.
And can we talk about the little things? The frames were warm when we tried them on. It was around 12 degrees outside, so not having ice-cold glasses touch our face felt like a hug we didn’t know we needed. That alone deserves a star.
This location has a concierge-level approach that’s rare these days. A1. Top tier.
If you’re anywhere in NYC and need glasses, skip the stress and go straight to the Forest Hills LensCrafters. Ask for Denise. Thank us later.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
