Terrible place nurses think they’re doing you a favor you complain and management doesn’t care, I was scheduled for a C-section and I had to call 911 so they pay me attention even I was scheduled they ruined my whole birth experience I’m on antidepressants now and they just send a letter home saying sorry I’m going to sue for emotional distress .. also I fell on the bathroom floor after my C-section because the nurses told me not to call them to use the bathroom cause when I got home who was going to help me and my husband press the alarm when he saw me on the floor and 4 people came and got upset insult me and left me there nobody help me, I’m also suffering from high blood pressure they sent me home with no medication after a major surgery the doctor say just take tylenol. My body open in the middle and just take tylenol

I went to ER yesterday due to high blood pressure. My blood pressure went up suddenly, and didn't have chance to eat in the morning. MD saw me for a few minutes, and never came back. ER rooms don't have call bells. Thanks God I am able to walk, otherwise unable to get anyone's attention. Nobody bothered to recheck my BP until late afternoon. I have been asking for snacks, but nurse told me that ER has none. I was literally hungry from 11am to 6pm. Complete ignorance and indifference from nursing stuff. My lab work results never came back. I was told that lab has issues running blood tests. Finally, very good old school nurse took over, and I was able to get couple of crackers and apple juice. Some people just don't belong to nursing profession. I will never step my foot in this hospital ever again.

Thank you. This morning was a bowl of stress with my Mom in so much pain. We were greeted by Elaine who is ER Triage. She was very sweet and calm, thoughtful and detailed.
We then met Yasmine, who is wonderful. She was our nurse that was very calming and sympathetic to my mothers pain as well as my nervousness. The Dr we seen was detailed and gave my mother medication to relieve the pain and order tests that we are waiting for them to preform. The ER staff and floor are very friendly and the decor is comfortable, organized, easy-going. Very relaxed atmosphere.

I had a very bad experience in the Emergency Department at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital. The level of professionalism and care was extremely disappointing.
I was waiting for about 7 hours just to get my discharge paperwork printed, which is unacceptable in an emergency department setting. During this time, the RN Vivian appeared to be busy shopping for clothes online instead of attending to patients. This behavior felt very unprofessional and disrespectful to patients who are waiting for care.
Additionally, the physician Benjamin did not seem engaged or concerned about resolving the delay. There was a clear lack of communication and urgency from the staff.
Patients come to the emergency department when they need help and expect medical professionals to act responsibly and respectfully. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet even basic expectations of patient care.
I hope the hospital administration reviews this issue and takes steps to improve staff professionalism and patient service in the emergency department.
