Took them 2 weeks to get my glasses ready, which wouldn’t have been a problem if they also have the trials contact lenses available, but they don’t. Went in on a Saturday (8/9/25), for the glasses and contacts check, after which they said they have to order my trials prescription because they don’t have it available. Got a text message that glasses were ready to be picked up (I also ordered glasses for my daughter, but they didn’t specify it was just my daughter’s that was ready; mine was not until 8/23/25). Went in there Wednesday (8/13) at around 6:30; was told my trials are available but I can’t get them yet because I have to be checked by the doctor, who conveniently is only available until 5:20. Mind you, i usually get out of work at 7. I work from 11-7, so going in early for the contacts fitting, won’t work either. Ran out of my old contacts 8/20… spent two miserable days squinting, not being able to see clearly. Blessed day arrived on the 23rd where I can finally pick up my glasses. Went there at 1:30 to pick up glasses and finally be fitted for the trials, only to be told that I have to make an appointment for the fitting as well. I wasn’t informed about this earlier. So, now I had to go back at 5 because that’s the soonest they can schedule me. To be clear, my huge problem is the inconvenience that I have keep on coming back, wasting my time, because there was either no stocks on prescription contact lenses, no doctors available late, and then the staff don’t communicate to you that to be fitted, it requires another appointment. I work, I have errands to run… I don’t have the time to keep on coming back. Doctors were great. Everyone else? Incompetent.

I was late for my 12pm appt. and was kindly given another appt in 40 minutes. Yelena, a sales associate helped me pick 2 pairs of economical glasses and suggested payment options. The eye doctor Shruti Patel made the exam very relaxing and she was very thorough. Gabriella was amazing explaining all the specifics of my glasses and the total cost. I have a eyeglass office in my neighborhood yet the friendly and caring service is worth the travel time.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters at Macy's
How do I know if my child needs glasses?
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
