Horrible experience at this location. I scheduled 3 appointments at the Setauket location for my toddler because the doc ordered many labs- he has autism and complex medical needs. The first 2 appointments went smoothly. The 3rd appointment was handled unprofessionally and without care. They proceeded to tell me that they couldn't do my child's labs because of missing info on the script. I proceeded to tell them I had the same script of bloodwork done twice before at the same location within a short time why would this time be a problem? They had me speak to management and I proceeded to tell them the same thing. They eventually did the bw. The second issue- they were rushing us out the door. I have never had this experience before with any Quest. They were telling me they couldn't complete all the bw because they had to type the codes for the labs and the truck was coming. I had a scheduled appointment for my child. The worse of it is that they also had the nerve to take a walk in after my child!! Really?!
Overall, I do not recommend this location as some staff lack professionalism and care for patients receiving bloodwork. It's especially hard enough when your child with or without complex medical needs bloodwork. Do better.

East Setauket Location: The Staff honor appointments made online. They are efficient, competent and friendly. My visit March 2 was particularly pleasant. The Technician took me even earlier than my appointment because there was no one waiting. Further, she was knowledgable and friendly; despite the fact that I had multiple tests/significant number of tests, she was able to get me in and out very quickly. She was very skilled inserting the needle - I barely felt it.
Smithtown Location: The Technician was lovely, kind, and good at her job. The facility is clean; checkin seamless; and a great location. However, I had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time. This is because another patient scheduled a long test and had insurance issues. There would not have been a delay if your facility had a receptionist/clerk to handle insurance and as well, your appt scheduler was set up to disallow such tests - except for specific times.
