I had two very disappointing experiences at this practice, and it’s left me finding a new rheumatologist.
For my first appointment, the doctor was 45 minutes late with no real explanation or apology from the staff. It was frustrating, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt things happen sometimes.
For my second appointment, I specifically booked the first slot at 8:00 AM to avoid any delays and respect everyone’s time (including my own job and schedule). I arrived early at 7:55 AM, I live a hour away and checked in promptly and walked out at 8:35 AM. That means the doctor wasn’t even ready or present on time for the very first patient of the day. She wasn’t even in the building, but I was in the waiting room.
Why bother having an appointment system if the provider can’t show up on time for her own job? This repeated lateness shows a clear lack of respect for patients’ time and schedules. We all have jobs, families, and lives, we can’t afford to sit around wondering if the doctor will even bother to show up.
This pattern has genuinely concerned me about the overall level of care and professionalism I can expect here. If punctuality and basic respect aren’t priorities, it makes me worry about other aspects of patient treatment.
I hope the practice addresses this issue, because no one deserves to be treated like their time doesn’t matter.
