How do I make, reschedule, or cancel an appointment?

You can schedule, reschedule, or cancel most appointments online through NYU Langone Health MyChart or the NYU Langone scheduling portal; many locations (including Bay Ridge) also accept appointments by phone (Bay Ridge: 718-745-5777). What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring your insurance card, any referral or precertification information if required, a list of current medications and allergies, copies of pertinent medical records (labs, imaging), and completed patient forms if you filled them out in advance.

How can I access my test results and medical records?

Accepted Answer

You can view and request medical records and test results through your NYU Langone Health MyChart account (downloadable via the NYU Langone Health app). You can also request records via the Authorization for Use and Disclosure of PHI form if you prefer mailed/faxed records. Records requested through MyChart are usually available immediately.

What insurance plans are accepted and how will billing work?

Accepted Answer

NYU Langone accepts many commercial plans and government coverage options; check the NYU Langone Insurance Options page or the provider/location Find-a-Doctor page for the most complete, location-specific list. For plans we accept, NYU Langone collects your out-of-pocket responsibility at check-in and bills your insurer for the remainder; if insurance doesn’t cover the full balance you will be billed for any remaining amount.

What are visitor guidelines for ambulatory/outpatient visits?

Accepted Answer

At ambulatory and outpatient locations, adult patients may be accompanied by up to two visitors for the duration of the visit; pediatric patients may be accompanied by two visitors (at least one adult). Visitors must follow site safety rules (stay home if ill, perform hand hygiene, show ID when requested) and should check NYU Langone’s visitor information page for updates before visiting.

How is my personal data used and protected?

NYU Langone uses Epic for electronic health records and stores patient information securely; patient data is protected under HIPAA. Sharing race, ethnicity, and language data is voluntary and helps improve care; declining to answer will not affect care or insurance. To update personal details, use MyChart account settings.
