i've been goint to this Lense Crafters location for over 15 years and have always been able to get my new glasses adjusted by anyone of the great staff. Today I walked in to get a recently purchase pair of glasses from this location and was told that they don't do this, never did, and that I'd have to come back Monday because only a licensed optometrist can do this and they won't be in until Monday.

Extremely negative experience I do not recommend you go here under any circumstances.
I went here because my insurance was supposed to cover most of the visit, and I was met with some of the worst customer service that I have experienced at an eyeglass store. At first, all was fine; everyone was a little brisk, but I figured it was a long day. Things just kept getting worse from there. When it came to getting glasses, they kept adding on things insurance didn't cover. They didn't want to show me the receipt in detail and were rushing me out. I had to ask to see it, pointed out a few issues, the rep made changes but didn't really let me look at it closer. I got home later in the day and looked at the details, compared them to my insurance, and was shocked at the differences.
Called back an hour later after speaking with Aetna, I just wanted to cancel the order and not deal with them further, but was told that was impossible. The manager hung up on me twice while I was trying to figure out what had happened.
I am astonished by how rude she was to me on the phone. I hope I can get it canceled because I can't imagine having to go back there to pick up the glasses. Like, I am legitimately afraid of how she would treat me in person.
I had never gone to a LensCrafters before and safe to say I will not be returning. I urge you to find your eye care elsewhere.

Dr. NeNe succinctly explained the results of examinations, offering recommendations for optimal eye care and vision. I respect her expertise and information, that was admirable and noteworthy. The doctor provided critical information for making pertinent decisions about my eye care in this upcoming year. Additionally, the team demonstrated professionalism, as Dr. Nene. Each interaction with this staff of professionals was unique, exceptionally polished, competent, and skillful. They also performed as a team. Dr. Nene and the staff of professionals are a distinguished group.

Last year was my first time to got fitted for prescription bifocals in my neighborhood LensCrafters. I decided to return this year for a new pair of bifocals with an all new style frame. I was delighted to be helped by Layla who was very knowledgeable and has studied optometry. Layla was very patience, helpful, and down to earth. She explained in detail what my eye prescription meant, and did a thorough job measuring and fitting a new pair of glasses on me.
I highly recommend coming to this Brooklyn LensCrafters location. If this is your first time buying glasses or if you are looking for your new pair of eyeglasses, come to this LensCrafter and ask for Layla. I also got to meet Enrica, the manager of this LensCrafters, who was very accommodating to me. Both Layla & Enrica were friendly, welcoming, and caring which made my second bifocal purchase a pleasure.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
