First time ever having to take a trip to an ER. I'm so glad that I chose NYU Langone ER. I am attached to NYU Langone Healthcare! It's the best choice I've made. Medical staff is absolutely amazing! At the ER I had spent over 11hrs there and yes that's a long wait time but it was worth it! The care and attention I received was beautiful! But there was one RN in particular who stuck with me through and through. Her name is Shaniece Cooper and every ER should have one on board! You are truly dedicated, professional, respectful and consciously aware of your duties to patients. She truly is a gem. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

I went here because all of my doctors are with NYU and I live in Brooklyn. I was admitted while in the ER. 5 stars go to the medical staff only. The medical doctors I spoke to were attentive to my concerns and thorough in their explanations about what the issue was and what the plan was. All of the nurses did the best they could under the overcrowded conditions, and I still say they were amazing. Two of the nurses whose names I remember were Jessica and Amir who attended to me. Absolutely the best. Food was pretty decent but came in a box until you got a room upstairs. Then you had a menu to choose from and it came on a tray. Zero stars for waiting 3 days to finally get a room upstairs. I will go to Manhattan next time. Never Lutheran again.

I came in after a nasty bike fall and felt the process from start to finish was extremely smooth, efficient and all the staff were wonderful. Ive usually had poor experiences in Emergency Rooms but this was a pleasant surprise.

I wouldn't even bring a sewer rat to this hospital to get treated by these so-called "doctors." I'll start by saying one positive thing, though: From our experience, the nurses are great, kind, and attentive. I truly sympathize with them, as this is not an easy job and they receive little to no support from the higher-ups. Now, when it comes to the doctors, they're absolutely horrible and have NO idea what they're doing. Apparently empathy and bedside manners don't exist in their line of work, which you think it would. Anyway, my mother was in the ER for five days, was not prescribed antibiotics for her condition, and some of the doctors completely ignored her agonizing pain. One actually gaslit her into thinking -- because something didn't "show up" on the CT scan -- that there wasn't anything she could do. She did not even feel her abdomen to get a better idea or look into it further. She also was extremely rude and condescending. Mind you, my mother is an elderly woman. How could they keep her in the ER for 5 days, give her the runaround with no diagnosis, promise her a room, then discharge her with improper medication? Because her condition was left untreated, only giving her pain medication and Tylenol, her conditioned worsened. She needed antibiotics, or better yet -- A DOCTOR WHO CARES AND KNOWS HOW TO DO THEIR JOB.
