- EKErnest KastningMar 23, 20262.0My wife went in for her "3 month appointment" which was scheduled 6 months from her last date seeing Dr. Strabo on March 20, 2026 in Guthrie Gastroenterology. During this last visit, Dr. Strabo indicated that she would reduce my wife's medication from 40mg to 20mg and see how things go in the future. This was Friday, yet Monday 3/23 there seems to be no new medication requested. Then when we got home from working today 3/23/2026, we received a letter from Guthrie stating that Dr. Strabo is leaving effective 3/27/2026. This Doctor did not even have the courtesy of letting us know she was leaving during out visit just days ago! Very disappointed in how this department is operating. My own Guthrie cardiologist doctor's have left 3 times in 3 years now. Each time they respectfully informed me (in person) they were leaving and whom the new physician would be. We just scheduled a "6 month follow up" which was actually dated seven months out and are now being told we'll receive a telephone call to reschedule once this doctor leaves the department. What is going on with this department and hospital? Everyone is telling me to "ditch" Guthrie and go to UHS & Wilson. Maybe We should seriously consider this shortly in the future!! Lourdes was great......Guthrie???? if you read this and care.....BE AND DO BETTER! Playing musical doctor's like musical chairs is a disaster waiting to happen and patient care is going down with the game you are playing with patient's care and lives!!
