  The front desk staff were rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. I came in for a gestational diabetes blood test at 26 weeks pregnant, accompanied by my 6-year-old child. Before arriving, I called the main office to inform them that I would be there in 10 minutes. They confirmed that I would still be able to complete the test, so I came. Upon arrival, the receptionist immediately refused to perform the test, stating that she had not spoken with me. She claimed that if I had actually called, the call would have come directly to her. I redialed the same number I had previously spoken to, and the office again confirmed that they had spoken with me and had approved my arrival. While she was delaying and refusing service, the main office called her and informed her that I was indeed allowed to complete the test before closing. Despite this, the receptionist continued to behave aggressively. She threw the bottle containing the test solution toward me and shouted in front of other patients, ordering me to drink it within five minutes. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially toward a pregnant woman. As a result, I experienced significant stress and broke down in tears. I did not come from nearby; I made a special trip for this important medical test for the health of my baby. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and appropriate action be taken.

  Went in today for a blood test. The phlebotomist was great, it was painless and quick. She was also multitasking throughout the office and very friendly and professional. Give this lady a raise! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  I would give 0 stars if I could. Very upsetting experience. The phlebotomist, MARIBEL , shouted at us in front of others and rushed to leave before completing her work properly—just because we questioned why she needed to take nine tubes of blood instead of the amount we agreed on. She ignored my clear instruction not to draw more than four tubes of blood from my child. I even signed a written consent stating I was not willing to have all the blood tests done at once, but she forcibly took nine anyway. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior.

  The staff is amazing ! I will always go to this lab location from now on. Everything is clean and nice. The techs have Angel hands didn't even feel it. ❤️

  Today was my first experience at a Norwell Lab and first time going to this astoria location. I believe Juanita and her colleague are who assisted me and i couldnt speak higher of my experience with them. There was an issue with my prescription and I had to phone over to my doctor's office. The staff went out of their way to accomadate me and make me feel comfortable. I get super nervous when giving blood and I know I'm a difficult patient. Luckily I came to this specific lab. Not only were both of these women expert flebotomists - they also had a kind, patient, loving and careing bedside manor. I contribute their confidence, experience and personality as the reason they were able to successfully draw blood from me. In the future I will definitely come back to this location. My appointment was 7/9/24 @8:15am. I hope this review results in some sort of praise by management.
